Praelatura Sanctus Christophorus

The Personal Ordinariate of St. Christopher sees itself as a part of the Roman Catholic Church. It arose providentially in the Church and for the Church.

The Personal Prelature of Saint Christopher sees itself as part of the Roman Catholic Church. It follows the early church tardition with regard to a more open access to the Holy Sacraments. We cling to Catholic Rome with whole heart and whole soul and the traditions necessary for the preservation of this faith. On the other hand, we reject it and, with regard to the tradition of the early Church,

we must reject it to accept the restrictive tendency of Rome with regard to the exclusion of many Christians from the sacraments. As members of the Society of Christ Bearers, we follow our conscience and the theological conviction that Jesus sacramentally includes and does not exclude all people through his message of redemption. Through Jesus and his commission we cannot and must not exclude anyone: Neither from the service at the altar nor from receiving the Holy Sacraments. Baptism, Eucharist, anointing of the sick, marriage or ordination as deacons, priests, and bishops must be given to those who are worthy and credibly called to do so. Here we are following our theological and pastoral convictions because God is greater than we are ever able to think.

Under the leadership of Bishop Erwin Seisenbacher and in the presence of Archbishop Christine Mayr-Lumetzberger, the community celebrated a festive service this Sunday at Premakirche in Vedahof, Upper Austria. The Gospel focused on discipleship to Jesus (John 1:42): "We have found the Messiah - translated as Christ, the Anointed One".

Unter Vorsitz von Bischof Erwin Seisenbacher und in Anwesenheit von Erzbischöfin Christine Mayr-Lumetzberger feierte diesen Sonntag die Gemeinde in der Premakirche am Vedahof in Oberösterreich einen festlichen Gottesdienst. Im Evangelium ging es um die Jesusjüngerschaft (Joh 1,42): "Wir haben den Messias gefunden – das heißt übersetzt: Christus – der Gesalbte".

Nel Vangelo si è parlato della sequela di Gesù (Giovanni 1,42): "Abbiamo trovato il Messia, tradotto come Cristo, l'Unto".
