Five years have passed since our beloved Daddy in the Lord was called home to glory. To some, five years may seem like a long time, but we had the privilege to sit under his teaching, it feels like only yesterday that we could hear his voice echoing from the pulpit.
Daddy was a man of the Word. He didn't just preach the Bible; he lived it. He had a shepherd’s heart, always seeking out the lost, comforting the hurting, and challenging the comfortable. He possessed a rare combination of unwavering truth and unconditional love. He never compromised the Gospel to be popular, but he delivered it with a tenderness that made you feel safe, even when you were being corrected.
Your vision wasn't just to fill these pews, but to transform our community. You taught us that church isn't a building, but a family on a mission. What we are enjoying here today are living monuments to his foresight and dedication. He planted seeds of faith in us that continue to bear fruit. I'll never forget the day you personally visited me at my house and your words of encouragement.
You will be highly missed. Our joy is that you are resting in the bossom of Almighty God.
