“IMMERSE” : 2026
________________________________________
2026: This year’s Theme of PGCAG is “IMMERSE”.
The main thematic thought is for the church people and leaders to engage wholly and deeply into the work of the Lord without distraction or diversion; It means “to be fully absorbed in the Lord and His work”.
Main Text: “Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you. Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.” 1CO 15:58
The theme “IMMERSE” calls church leaders and members to be fully engaged and deeply committed to the Lord and His work—without distraction or hesitation.
To immerse means to be entirely absorbed—mind, heart, and strength—into God’s mission. It is a call to wholehearted devotion, focused action, and undivided surrender.
The phrase “give yourselves fully” emphasizes total, not partial service—a life completely poured out for the work of the Lord.
It is a powerful rallying cry for 2026. There are other Scriptures that are rich with verses that portray this
1. Our One Job
[Paul says] “But my life is worth nothing to me unless I use it for finishing the work assigned me by the Lord Jesus—the work of telling others the Good News about the wonderful grace of God.” - ACT 20:24 Paul’s statement reflects a life fully immersed in his calling, where everything else fades compared to the mission of Christ.
2. Serve It Hot
“Never be lazy, but work hard and serve the Lord enthusiastically.” - [ROM 12:11 NLT]. Another translation {TPT} says, “Be enthusiastic to serve the Lord, keeping your passion toward him boiling hot! Radiate with the glow of the Holy Spirit and let him fill you with excitement as you serve him.” Serving with zeal and passion reflects being emotionally and spiritually immersed—not casually involved but burning with devotion.
3. With All Your Heart
“Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters, since you know that you will receive an inheritance from the Lord as a reward. It is the Lord Christ you are serving.” - COL 3:23–24 (NIV). This verse emphasizes working with all your heart—a posture of full absorption and dedication in everything done for Christ.
4. Single-Minded Devotion
“No soldier gets entangled in civilian pursuits, since his aim is to please the one who enlisted him.” -2TI 2:4 (ESV) Immersion requires focus. This verse warns against diversion and distraction, affirming the need for single-minded devotion to the Lord’s mission.
5. Living Wholly For The Lord
“Night’s darkness is dissolving away as a new day of destiny dawns. So we must once and for all strip away what is done in the shadows of darkness, removing it like filthy clothes. And once and for all we clothe ourselves with the radiance of light as our weapon.
“We must live honorably, surrounded by the light of this new day, not in the darkness of drunkenness and debauchery, not in promiscuity and sensuality, not being argumentative or jealous of others.
“Instead fully immerse yourselves into the Lord Jesus, the Anointed One, and don’t waste even a moment’s thought on your former identity to awaken its selfish desires.” ROM 13:12-14 TPT.
“God does not call us to dip our toes into His work—but to dive in, fully immersed, heart, soul, and strength. The Kingdom advances through those who are all in.”
Prayer:
"I have longed for you with the passion of my heart; don’t let me stray from your directions!" -PSA 119:10 TPT
