A loving husband. An incredible father. A beloved son. A trusted friend.
In loving memory of Bro. Franz Benedict Alcantara.
Franz was the son of Rev. Ptr. Benny Alcantara and Ptr. Angelou Alcantara. From the early years of the ministry in JIL Italy, he served alongside his parents, growing up in a life devoted to God and His people.
His love for God was evident in the way he cared for others, with genuine kindness, compassion, and a heart always willing to serve.
He wore many hats: a loving husband to Angela, a devoted father to his three beautiful children, Lala, Lucas, and Lily, a beloved son, a business owner, and a servant of God. But to those who knew him closely, Franz will be remembered most for the quiet way he showed up for people and the genuine care he extended to everyone around him.
He was the kind of person who made people feel seen, welcomed, and accepted. His warmth, sincerity, and genuine love touched lives in ways that may never be fully measured. He cared deeply. He loved sincerely. And through his life, many experienced a glimpse of God’s love.
Today, we remember not only the roles he carried, but the person he was and the many lives he touched.
Our heartfelt prayers are with the entire Alcantara and Mallari families, especially Angela, Lala, Lucas, and Lily, as they walk through this difficult season.
Our hearts grieve, but our hope remains anchored in the Word of God and His promises. We hold on to the assurance that the Lord is near to the brokenhearted and that His love remains faithful through every season.
Franz, thank you for your life. Short, yet beautifully lived.
Your entire JIL Southern and Eastern Europe family honors you, loves you, and stands with your family. We are grateful for the life you shared with us, the love you gave, and the many lives you touched.
Until we see each other again in the presence of our Lord in heaven.
