Dear Beloved in Christ;
Perhaps you have heard about the fact that on September 2018, while in the States, getting ready for my Furlough trip, which had to take me from Boston MA, even to TN, TX, then LA, GA, then back to TX, and then back to GA, then going back north to end up in Boston and finally back to Italy, our son had to take me to the Hospital, then to another Hospital, and finally to the Brigham and Women Hospital, to have a new Aortic Valve put in, because I was dying.
But my lungs were full of liquids, so they could not open my chest. So they had to put the valve through the Arteries. and I found it later that in this process I had died twice! I woke up one night in the intensive care, and I saw one of our sons sitting next to my bed, and I asked him what was he doing in my room. He said that was not my room. It was the intensive care room. He said that since he couldn't sleep at home, he came to see me. Yet I found out late that I had died and they had to revive me.
Through all this, I and my family are grateful to God and to you and all our Brothers and Sisters in Christ for their prayers. so at the end, when they sent me home, I was able to come back to my wife and the two chindren we have here in Italy. ...But I could not visit the churches and friends for which I came to the USA to visit and try to raise some more very needed support for our ministry.
In fact, after that, not only we were not able to raise any new support, but we even lost some. For this reason, this Sister (Susan) from AL, decided to do something to help us, and have this Fund Raiser through this Live Streaming program, with the hope to get some more needed support.
As you may know, Operation Italy (Operitaly), is a Non-Profit Missionary Organization incorporated in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, and it'a Exempt from Taxes under the Revenue Laws of the United States of America.
So, this is the reason for this message, to let you know, that on the 30th of this month, we are going to have this Fund Raiser where she will interview me Live to share about our lives and ministry.
