Today’s Gospel (May 9, 2026)

John 15:1–8
Jesus says: “I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener. Remain in me, and I will remain in you. Apart from me, you can do nothing.”

Reflection

True life grows only from connection. We often try to “bear fruit” on our own—achieve, perform, or fix things—cut off from God. But like a branch without the vine, we wither. Abiding isn’t hard work; it’s simply staying close: in prayer, in silence, in His word. Love, joy, and goodness aren’t things we make—they flow from Him, if we stay rooted.
