Nichiren Shu is the Buddhist school personally founded by the Buddhist Master, re

ligious prophet and reformer, Nichiren Shonin (1222-1282) on April 28, 1253. the teachings of Buddha Sakyamuni, the founder of Buddhism. Our faith in this doctrine is affirmed by our daily study and recitation of the Lotus Sutra and the Odaimoku (sacred title) of Namu Myoho Renge Kyo, ("Lotus Scripture Adoration of Perfect Truth"), meditation, study of all the fundamental principles of Buddhism and the writings of Nichiren Shonin. Through our daily practice we connect to our innate Buddha nature which is possessed by all sentient beings. This allows us to live happily, enjoy a satisfying and peaceful life, as we approach Buddha's enlightenment.
