As I prayed I declare and prophecies in the life of the dignitary this dawn, likewise I receive it in Jesus mighty name, name. in this new month of November God will open a new chapter of blessings, favour, breakthrough upon your life and he will also redirect his compass to locate you in any location. You will multiply, you excel, you will be lifted by his mighty hand, and his light shall shine upon your life, from glory to glory in Jesus mighty name. Amen

TEXT: JOHN 8:30-36

In many parts of the world today, many kinds of armed struggles are going on by “freedom fighters”, militants, cults and even terrorists. Each group is seeking “freedom” in one form or the other. It may be political, resource control, or for religious purposes.

In our text, our Lord Jesus Christ, while addressing those who had just believed on Him, commanded them to “continue in (His) word”, so as to know the truth which would set them free. He alluded to the fact that a sinner is like a slave who cannot set himself free. Only the Son can make anyone to “be free indeed”.

Freedom can be seen from different perspectives. For instance, a sick person goes to the doctor because he wants freedom from sickness. A person with a case in court goes to a lawyer to get good representation so as not to go to jail and lose his freedom. People go to school to learn, to know how to read and write and be free from ignorance. But as the Lord Jesus explained, the greatest kind of freedom which is only given by Him is the freedom from sin.

Freedom from sin is the forgiveness of one’s sin which makes a person to be a child of God. “Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered” (Romans 4:7). The blessedness of reconciliation with God through the forgiveness of one’s sins is a gift that comes as a result of the death and resurrection of Christ. All men have fallen through Adam but Jesus Christ, the second Adam through His substitutionary sacrifice “taste(d) death for every man” – every man that believes. Jesus remains the way, the only way to gain access to God and to heaven. To attain this true freedom therefore, a sinner must repent of all sins and receive Christ as Saviour.

The Bible declares that God “has set a day in which he purposes to judge the inhabited earth.” (Acts 17:31)

This day of judgment, also known as the Final Judgment, is when Jesus, the Son of God, will judge "the living and the dead" before destroying the old heaven and earth, which are corrupted of sin.

Sin can be defined as anything that opposes God’s will and law. To engage in sin is to disobey or abuse His laws. Because the urge to sin resides in human nature, mankind is corrupted and somewhat driven by the immoral inclinations that live in all people. This is a consequence of the fall into sin in the garden of Eden. Before creating His new heaven and earth, God must do away with anything that could produce or bear sin into His new creation.

Jesus Christ will act as the justice of the last judgment, as the Bible states "Moreover, the Father judges no one, but has entrusted all judgment to the Son," (John 5:22). All skeptics will be judged by Christ at the “great white throne,” and they will face punishment in accordance with the acts they have done. The Bible is very definite that skeptics are collecting up vengeance against themselves and that God will “give to each person according to what he has done” (Romans 2:5-6). At the final judgment, the destiny of the wicked and nonbelievers will be in the control of the almighty God who will assess everyone according to their soul’s status.

How can we know for sure that we will go to heaven when we die?

Question is:
what is the Glory of God?

Answer is:
The glory of God is the beauty of His spirit. It is not an aesthetic beauty or a material beauty, but it is the beauty that emanates from His character, from all that He is. James 1:10 calls on a rich man to “glory in his humiliation,” indicating a glory that does not mean riches or power or material beauty. This glory can crown man or fill the earth. It is seen within man and in the earth, but it is not of them; it is of God. The glory of man is the beauty of man’s spirit, which is fallible and eventually passes away, and is therefore humiliating—as the verse tells us. But the glory of God, which is manifested in all His attributes together, never passes away. It is eternal.

Isaiah 43:7 says that God created us for His glory. In context with the other verses, it can be said that man “glorifies” God because through man, God’s glory can be seen in things such as love, music, heroism and so forth—things belonging to God that we are carrying “in jars of clay” (2 Corinthians 4:7). We are the vessels which “contain” His glory. All the things we are able to do and to be find their source in Him. God interacts with nature in the same way. Nature exhibits His glory. His glory is revealed to man’s mind through the material world in many ways, and often in different ways to different people. One person may be thrilled by the sight of the mountains, and another person may love the beauty of the sea. But that which is behind them both (God’s glory) speaks to both people and connects them to God. In this way, God is able to reveal Himself to all men, no matter their race, heritage or location. As Psalm 19:1-4 says, “The heavens are telling of the glory of God and their expanse is declaring the work of His hands; day to day pours forth speech, and night to night reveals knowledge. There is no speech, nor are there words; their voice is not heard. Their line has gone out through all the earth, and their utterances to the end of the world.”

Psalm 73:24 calls heaven itself “glory.” It used to be common to hear Christians talk of death as being “received unto glory,” which is a phrase borrowed from this Psalm. When the Christian dies, he will be taken into God’s presence, and in His presence will be naturally surrounded by God’s glory. We will be taken to the place where God’s beauty literally resides—the beauty of His Spirit will be there, because He will be there. Again, the beauty of His Spirit (or the essence of Who He Is) is His “glory.” In that place, His glory will not need to come through man or nature, rather it will be seen clearly, just as 1 Corinthians 13:12 says, “For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face; now I know in part, but then I shall know fully just as I also have been fully known.”

In the human/earthly sense, glory is a beauty or vibrancy that rests upon the material of the earth

Resist Satan by Submitting to God
Submit yourselves to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. (James 4:7)

Though the enemy’s power is never a match for God’s strength and might, he is very deceptive and dark. God knows how much we need His miraculous covering of power and protection in our lives. So, He’s given us special instructions to know how to stand strong against the enemy’s attacks.

First, He tells us to “submit to God” and come under His authority, for it’s the only way we can discern the ruthless schemes of evil. We need to stay close to God and within the covering of His protection and care.

Then, reminding us to stand firm in our faith, He tells us to “resist” the devil and that the enemy will have to run. That’s how powerful He is within us. That’s how incredible His truth and light are, shining through us. By God’s power the enemy will run! We don’t have to run after him to fight him. We don’t have to battle in our own strength.

We must simply live a life of submission to God’s authority and continually resist his attacks and lies.
