Leggete poi sotto la foto, l'articolo del Pastore Alessandro Lilli. Mi associo a quanti trovano assurda questa foto, non tanto per il fatto che si preghi per un leader politico, piuttosto perché si creda sia "investito" dall'alto per una missione.

NELLO STUDIO OVALE DI TRUMP
Ha fatto il giro del mondo, la foto del Presidente Trump col capo chino, mentre un nutrito gruppo di famosi Pastori Evangelici, prega per lui.
Ma il punto non è solo che si preghi, ma per cosa si preghi e cioè, invocando benedizione sulla guerra in Iran.
Va detto subito, che negli Stati Uniti da sempre si prega per i Presidenti, le proprie truppe e la propria nazione;
questa è una cosa buona e auspicabile in ogni nazione, come l'Apostolo Paolo infatti, ci esorta a fare:
1Timoteo 2:1-4 Ti esorto dunque prima di ogni cosa che si facciano suppliche, preghiere, intercessioni e ringraziamenti per tutti gli uomini, 2 per i re e per tutti quelli che sono in autorità, affinché possiamo condurre una vita tranquilla e quieta in ogni pietà e decoro. 3 Questo infatti è buono ed accettevole davanti a Dio, nostro Salvatore, 4 il quale vuole che tutti gli uomini siano salvati, e che vengano alla conoscenza della verità.
Se si fosse pregato semplicemente per il bene della nazione, affinché si potesse condurre una vita tranquilla e quieta, avrei detto "Amen!".
Ma in questo caso è diverso. Si prega per un Presidente in particolare, come fosse investito di unzione divina, per combattere quindi, una guerra santa. Si prega cioè, non per la nazione, ma per una missione in particolare, assegnandole mandato celeste; come se il Presidente Trump fosse stato chiamato a essa, unto come Davide lo fu al Regno di Israele.
Ma per prima cosa, quando Dio chiamò Davide, lo chiamò per questo motivo:
1Samuele 13:14 […] L'Eterno si è cercato un uomo secondo il suo cuore, e l'Eterno lo ha stabilito principe del suo popolo,
Dio non ha mai unto qualcuno, che per primo, non fosse consacrato davvero a Lui con tutto il Suo cuore; e anzi, quando questo requisito veniva a mancare, veniva spesso rimosso. Proprio per questo, Davide divenne Re di Israele, al posto di Saul.
Per prima cosa quindi, un Pastore dovrebbe sapere che pregare per un "unto di Dio" e per una "missione divina", necessita due requisiti indispensabili:
L'uomo chiamato è stabilito da Dio, ed egli stesso è davvero consacrato a Lui; e la missione pure. La mancanza di uno solo di questi requisiti, nella missione o nella persona, le rende sprovviste di un mandato divino.
E questo a prescindere si possa essere d'accordo oppure no, con l'operazione in corso in Iran, sulla base delle proprie convinzioni geopolitiche. Ma il punto che contesto, è esservi a favore in virtù di una convinzione religiosa, investendola di mandato divino, pregando su un uomo, che a me francamente, pare molto pronto a sentirsi unto da Dio, ma molto meno a ungere Dio, come Giacobbe fece sulla Roccia, sulla quale aveva dormito, consacrandosi a Lui:
Genesi 28:18 Così Giacobbe si alzò al mattino presto, prese la pietra che aveva posta sotto la sua testa, la eresse come stele e versò dell'olio sulla sua sommità.
Ciò che sto cercando di dire, è che in questa maniera, questo nutrito gruppo di Pastori americani, ha associato la propria missione ecclesiale, quindi il volto di Cristo che dovrebbero rappresentare, a quello di Trump, non perché prima di tutto convertito davvero al Signore, ma perché prima di tutto Presidente degli Stati Uniti.
Questo significa, che qualunque atto, condotta, azione di Trump d’ora in poi, saranno associate al credo cristiano evangelico di tutto il mondo procurandogli potenzialmente un'avversità e una diffidenza culturale, che potrà andare ben oltre quella che già subiamo di nostro: una tale ostilità, sono disposto a subirla solo per le buone ragioni: ma non per le sbagliate.
Ciò che si è svolto nella sala ovale, rappresenta l'apoteosi di quella che biblicamente è chiamata stoltizia, scemenza di senno o insensatezza perché affida pericolosamente l'immagine della chiesa evangelica mondiale, come pure i suoi scopi sulla terra, nelle mani di un uomo che crede di poterla adempiere, grazie anche alle vostre preghiere e benedizioni, con le bombe dei caccia statunitensi.
Quando non io, ma l'Apostolo Paolo dice:
Efesini 6:12 poiché il nostro combattimento non è contro sangue e carne, ma contro i principati, contro le potestà, contro i dominatori del mondo di tenebre di questa età contro gli spiriti malvagi nei luoghi celesti
E uno più grande di Lui risponde:
Giovanni 18:36 Gesù rispose: «Il mio regno non è di questo mondo; se il mio regno fosse di questo mondo, i miei servi combatterebbero affinché io non fossi dato in mano dei Giudei;…
Siccome vi siete affidati nelle mani di un uomo che chiamate unto da Dio, senza curarvi quest'uomo Gli abbia davvero consacrato il cuore; siccome proclamate una missione di Dio, fatta di combattimenti di carne e sangue, ecco chi voi state diventando:
voi siete sulla strada dei farisei che confidavano nella Gerusalemme terrestre invece che quella celeste:
Galati 4:25-26 Or Agar è il monte Sinai in Arabia e corrisponde alla Gerusalemme del tempo presente; ed essa è schiava con i suoi figli. 26 Invece la Gerusalemme di sopra è libera ed è la madre di noi tutti.
Voi siete sul sentiero degli erodiani che confidavano nel tempio, come il terzo che vorreste riedificare nella Spianata delle Moschee, invece che nell' ultimo e unico vero tempio, il Corpo di Cristo:
Giovanni 2:19-21 Gesù rispose e disse loro: «Distruggete questo tempio e in tre giorni io lo ricostruirò». 20 Allora i Giudei dissero: «Ci son voluti quarantasei anni per edificare questo tempio, e tu lo ricostruiresti in tre giorni?». 21 Ma egli parlava del tempio del suo corpo.
Voi siete quelli hanno confuso il combattimento della fede dell'Apostolo Paolo nei luoghi celesti, con quello dei vostri F16 sui cieli di Teheran.
E il punto non è essere contrari o a favore di quei caccia da un punto di vista politico: su ciò mi astengo dall'esternare qualsiasi posizione.
Ma per l'appunto, crederli investiti di un mandato divino che voi, vi state assumendo la responsabilità di proclamare dinanzi al mondo, e prima di tutto davanti a Dio.
Come pure io me la assumo oggi dicendo che questa non è un missione di Dio, ma degli Stati Uniti: a prescindere sia geopoliticamente corretta che no.
Inoltre: che questo è il frutto di una visione escatologica sbagliata, che sta portando la chiesa all'idolatria di carne e sangue, quella di Agar, invece che quella dello spirito, che è Sara; la stessa idolatria degli scribi, i sadducei, i farisei e gli erodiani che li portò a crocifiggere Gesù.
Ancora: che la vostra benedizione di Dio, su una missione che non lo è, espone la chiesa a un enorme scandalo, avendo posto tutta la sua credibilità nelle mani di un uomo che chiamate unto di Dio, quando al massimo dovreste chiamarlo Presidente degli Stati Uniti.
E questo a cominciare dalla presenza di alcuni personaggi lì presenti, come il Pastore Paula White, alla quale, sono rimasto sorpreso anche persone credibili come il Past. Greg Laurie si siano associate in quell'occasione. Prima di pensare a "purificare il mondo" dai vari anticristi a colpi di bombe, questa persona dovrebbe cominciare dal proprio ministero, dove spesso si vendono "benedizioni" chiamate "seed of resurrection", al costo di $1,000 or more...
Ma come Dio si dissociò prima o poi, da chi usò il Suo nome abusivamente per opere, guerre o missioni che Egli non aveva comandato, giudicandolo nella storia, io, prima dei Suoi giudizi, mi dissocio prestamente da voi.

TRUMP OVAL OFFICE

The photo of President Trump with his head bowed while a large group of famous evangelical pastors pray for him has gone viral around the world.
But the point is not just that they are praying, but what they are praying for, namely, invoking blessings on the war in Iran.
It should be said right away that in the United States, people have always prayed for their presidents, their troops, and their nation.
This is good and desirable in every nation, as the Apostle Paul exhorts us to do:
1 Timothy 2:1-4 I urge, then, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for all people— 2 for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. 3 This is good, and pleases God our Savior, 4 who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth. (NIV).
If they had simply prayed for the good of the nation, so that we may live a peaceful and quiet life, I would have said “Amen!”.
But in this case, it is different. They are praying for a particular President, as if he were divinely anointed to fight a holy war. In other words, they are not praying for the nation, but for a specific mission, assigning it a heavenly mandate, as if President Trump had been called to it, anointed as David was to the Kingdom of Israel.
But to start with, when God called David, he called him for this reason:
1 Samuel 13:14 […] the Lord has sought out a man after his own heart and appointed him ruler of his people ,…
God never anointed anyone who was not first truly devoted to Him with all his heart; indeed, when this requirement was not met, the person was often removed. This is precisely why David became king of Israel instead of Saul.
First of all, therefore, a pastor should know that praying for an “anointed one of God” and for a “divine mission” needs to fulfill two indispensable requirements:
The man called is established by God, and he himself is truly consecrated to Him; and so is the mission. The lack of even one of these requirements, in the mission or the person, renders them devoid of a divine mandate.
This is regardless of whether one agrees or disagrees with the operation underway in Iran, based on one's own geopolitical convictions. But the point I dispute is being in favor of it by virtue of a religious conviction, investing it with a divine mandate, praying over a man who, frankly, seems to me very ready to feel anointed by God, but much less ready to anoint God, as Jacob did on the rock on which he had slept, consecrating himself to Him:
Genesis 28:18 Early the next morning Jacob took the stone he had placed under his head and set it up as a pillar and poured oil on top of it.
What I am trying to say is that, in this way, this large group of American pastors has associated their ecclesial mission, and therefore the face of Christ that they should represent, with that of Trump, not because he has truly converted to the Lord, but because he is, first and foremost, the President of the United States.
This means that any act, conduct, or action by Trump from now on will be associated with the evangelical Christian belief of the entire world, potentially causing such a cultural adversity and mistrust toward it that could go far beyond what we already suffer. I am willing to suffer such hostility only for good reasons, but not for the wrong ones.
What took place in the Oval Office represents the apotheosis of what is biblically called foolishness, stupidity, or senselessness, because it dangerously entrusts the image of the global evangelical church, as well as its purposes on earth, into the hands of a man who believes he can fulfill them, thanks also to your prayers and blessings, with the bombs of US fighter jets.
When not I, but the Apostle Paul said:
Ephesians 6:12: For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.
And one greater than him answered:
John 18:36 Jesus said, “My kingdom is not of this world. If it were, my servants would fight to prevent my arrest by the Jewish leaders…
Since you have placed your trust in the hands of a man whom you call anointed by God, without caring whether this man has truly consecrated his heart to Him; since you proclaim a mission from God made up of battles of flesh and blood, this is what you are becoming:
you are on the path of the Pharisees who trusted in the earthly Jerusalem instead of the heavenly one:
Galatians 4:25-26 Now Hagar stands for Mount Sinai in Arabia and corresponds to the present city of Jerusalem, because she is in slavery with her children. 26 But the Jerusalem that is above is free, and she is our mother.
You are following in the footsteps of the Herodians who placed their trust in the temple, like the third one you would like to rebuild on the Temple Mount, instead of in the last and only true temple, the Body of Christ:
John 2:19-21 Jesus answered them, “Destroy this temple, and I will raise it again in three days.” 20 They replied, “It has taken forty-six years to build this temple, and you are going to raise it in three days?” 21 But the temple he had spoken of was his body.
You are the ones who have confused the Apostle Paul's battle of faith in the heavenly places with that of your F16s in the skies over Tehran.
And the point is not to be for or against those fighter jets from a political point of view: on that I refrain from expressing any position.
But precisely, to believe that they are invested with a divine mandate that you are taking upon yourselves to proclaim before the world, and first of all before God.
Just as I take it upon myself today to say that this is not a mission from God, but from the United States: regardless of whether it is geopolitically correct or not.
Furthermore, that this is the result of a mistaken eschatological vision, which is leading the church to the idolatry of flesh and blood, that of Hagar, instead of that of the spirit, which is Sarah; the same idolatry of the scribes, the Sadducees, the Pharisees, and the Herodians that led them to crucify Jesus.
Furthermore, your blessing of God on a mission that is not one exposes the church to an enormous scandal, having placed all its credibility in the hands of a man you call God’s anointed, when at most you should call him President of the United States.
A particular point of concern arises from the presence of certain individuals at that event, such as Pastor Paula White. It was surprising to observe that even credible leaders, like Pastor Greg Laurie, chose to associate themselves with her on that occasion. Before considering the idea of “purifying the world” from various antichrists with bombs, it would be more appropriate for such leaders to start with their own ministry, where often “blessings” are offered in exchange for monetary contributions. Such ‘blessings’ called “seeds of resurrection” are often sold at a cost of $1,000 ... or more.
But just as God sooner or later dissociated Himself from those who misused His name for works, wars, or missions that He had not commanded, judging them throughout history, I promptly dissociate myself from you before His judgments come.
