Сьогодні виповнюється 75 років від об’єднання (централізації) Сестер Чину св. Василія Великого. 2 червня 1951 року декретом тодішньої Священної Конгрегації для Східної Церкви (сьогодні - Дикастерії для Східних Церков) жіночі василіянські монастирі кількох Східних Католицьких Церков візантійського обряду були об’єднані в один Чин папського права. Цим декретом були також проголошені перші Конституції Чину.
Сьогодні ми єднаємося в молитві за живих і покійних сестер, які служили в Управі Чину: Архимандринь, Генеральних радниць, сестер, які виконували служіння в Римі, а також наших матерів-засновниць, єпископів, священників, сестер і мирян, які тим чи іншим способом долучилися до творення того, яким є наш Чин. Нехай ця річниця нагадує нам, що історія нашого Чину - це передусім історія Божої вірності, яка триває й сьогодні.
Today we mark the 75th anniversary of the unification (centralization) of the Sisters of the Order of St. Basil the Great. On June 2, 1951, by a decree of the Sacred Congregation for the Eastern Churches (today the Dicastery for the Oriental Churches), the Basilian women's monasteries of several Eastern Catholic Churches of the Byzantine rite were united into an Order of pontifical right. This decree also promulgated the first Constitution of the Order.
Today we remember in prayer the Sisters who served in the
Administration of the Order: our General Superiors and Councillors, Sisters who carried out ministry in Rome, as well as our Mothers Founders, bishops, priests, Sisters, and lay faithful who contributed to shaping our Order.
May this anniversary become an opportunity for us to recognize anew that the history of our Order is, above all, a history of God’s faithfulness that continues to this day.
