Keep going! God is leading you toward what He has built for you.

8 PILLARS TO SEE GOD'S HAND IN YOUR LIFE

There are seasons when it seems like you can see very little, yet God continues to sustain you, carry you in His arms, and encourage you.
But try looking back—take a look at how you were some time ago!

How many things the Lord has transformed and is transforming as you draw ever closer to the fulfillment of the promise.

Perseverance keeps your heart focused on the promise.
In the meantime, the whole journey takes visible shape, and you can walk in the peace and assurance of being in the right place at the right time, even if you don't understand everything.
All you need to do is hold fast to Him.

Galatians 6:9
Let us not grow weary in doing good;
for if we do not give up,
we will reap in due season.

*Ekkakeō* is the Greek word used for "grow weary" (or lose heart). And do you know what it means?
- To be completely without spirit
- To fail (in one's heart)
- To falter, to grow tired
- To be exhausted, to give up.

But that is not you!

Your perseverance is an example of steadfastness, giving you the ability to stand firm.

PRACTICAL APPLICATION:
Today, pick back up something good that you had stopped doing: a prayer, a project, a ministry, a relationship, or a spiritual habit.

Pray with me:

Lord, renew my strength.
Give me steadfastness and joy on the journey, knowing that what I sow into Your hands will bear fruit at the right time.
Help me to persevere, even if I only understand in part right now.
In the Name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

6. GRATITUDE

Observe, appreciate, and acknowledge what God has already done and is still doing.

8 PILLARS TO SEE GOD'S HAND IN YOUR LIFE

Gratitude changes your heart and mind, thereby changing your perspective.

It leads you to a state of peace and contentment as you focus on and acknowledge the faithfulness of God, who has already been at work in your story.

1 Thessalonians 5:18
Give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.

The Greek word for giving thanks is *eucharisteō*:
to acknowledge with gratitude, to feel inwardly grateful, to give thanks even before experiencing the manifestation.

*Eu*: means "well" or "good."
*Charis*: means "grace" or "favor."
Literally, the original expression indicates the act of "extending good grace."
*Chara*: is the closely related root meaning "joy." *Efcharistó*: is the standard phrase used daily to say "thank you."

In a practical sense, it is the opposite of complaining, criticism, and sadness!
When you live from a place of gratitude, your viewpoint—your perspective for facing anything in life—changes completely.

PRACTICAL APPLICATION:
Write down three reasons for gratitude and thank God specifically for each one.

Pray with me:

Father, enable me to recognize Your goodness even in the details.
I want to live with my eyes open to Your works.
Thank You for giving me the Spirit of gratitude; I want to let it work fully from this moment on.
In the Name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
