To all the worries of Ali
A relief was; Zahra

For the heart of Ali
A beat was; Zahra

For the smile of Ali
A reason was; Zahra

Allah created Ali then,
For Ali, He created Zahra

Eid-E-Zehra/ Eid-E-Shuja Mubarak to All Believers of the Holy Household of Prophet Muhammad (pbuh).

The extraordinary two-month period of Azadari (mourning) reaches its climax with the Martyrdom of our 11th Imam, Hassan Al Askari (as) on the 8th of Rabi al-Awwal.

The day that follows, is the greatest Eid (celebration) for the lovers of the Ahlulbayt (as).

Known as Eid-E-Zehra (SA), this day honours the daughter of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) as a day of great joy and happiness for the believers.

After such a period of sorrow, we remove the black from our place of worship and bodies, and go forth to implement the lessons learned during these last months.

Mukhtar ibn Ubaydullah al-Thaqafi, together with lbrahim ibn Malik al-Ashtar (PBUT) who were loyal companions and others rose to avenge the blood of Imam Hussain (as).
They arrested every killer of those who killed our beloved in karbala and executed them.

The enemies who had been killed were sent to Imam Ali ibn al-Hussain al-Zainul Abideen (as) in Madina.

These enemies reached Imam Ali ibn al-Hussain al-Zainul Abideen (as) on the 9th Rabi al-Awwal and on seeing them, Imam (as) smiled for the first time after the Tragedy of Karbala and went into prostration (Sajda-E- Shukr) and said,

"I thank Allah (SWT) who kept me alive to this day so that I could see the heads of the tyrants who killed my father.

Imam Ali ibn al-Hussain al-Zainul Abideen (as) then instructed the members of his family to remove the clothes of mourning, adorn themselves and celebrate the day with joy and happiness.

It is also the day our living Imam (May Allah SWT hasten his appearance) Imam Mahdi (AJ) began his Imamate.

For our sorrows are with the Ahlulbayt (AS) and our joys too.

May we live another year to serve and mourn for these days of sorrow InshAllah.

Safwan Jammaal narrates on the authority of Imam Sadiq (AS), β€˜When a Shia leaves his house with the intention of performing Imam Husain’s (AS) ziarat, he is accompanied by 700 angels. They safeguard him from above and below, from the right and the left, from the front and the back, till such a time that he reaches his destination.’

The word Arbaeen is defined as the number 40, and the Arbaeen of Imam Hussain (AS) is the 40th day after his martyrdom. On this day Sayeda Zaynab (SA) the sister of Imam Hussain (AS) and the remainder of his family all travelled from Damascus, Syria to Iraq.

Centuries later on Arbaeen, over 15 million pilgrims of various faiths visit the shrine of Imam Hussain (AS) in Karbala, Iraq making this event the world’s largest annual human gathering in history. Furthermore, Arbaeen walks that are kilometres in length are held across nations, worldwide, to commemorate this historical event and the sacrifice of Imam Hussain (AS) for humanity.

β€œThere are no eyes and no tears more loved by Allah than those eyes that wept and those tears that were shed over Imam Hussain (a). Whosoever weeps over Imam Hussain (a) becomes associated with Sayeda Fatima (sa) and supports her in her grief, and becomes associated with the Prophet of God (S), and becomes a fulfiller of our rights.”

Imam Amir ul Mu'mineen β€˜Ali (β€˜a) said:
"A man came to the Prophet (S) and asked him to teach him an action so that both Allah, the Exalted, and people would love him, his wealth would increase, his body would be healthy, his life time would last long, and he would be raised with him (the Prophet). Then, he (S) said: 'These are six traits which need six qualities:

1. If you want Allah to love you, be afraid of Him and guard yourself against sin.
2. If you want people to love you, be benevolent to them and decline what they have in their hands.
3. If you want Allah to increase your wealth, then give its alms tax.
4. If you want Allah to make your body healthy, pay charity more frequently.
5. If you want Allah to prolong your lifetime, then have regard for your kinship.
6. And, if you want Allah to raise you with me, then do prolong your prostrations before Allah, the One, the Dominator.'"

1st Safar: This day in Islamic history after the tragedy of Karbala the caravan of The Family of our beloved Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) reached the outskirts of Damascus, Syria from Karbala, Iraq. The enemy Omar Sa'ad (LA) sent a message to Yazid (LA) that they had arrived. Yazid (LA) ordered that the caravan remain where it was until the morning. He wanted the people of Shaam to line the streets to look at the captives and witness his victory. In the meantime the streets through which the captives were to be marched were being decorated with flags and pennants.

Bibi Zainab (SA) had conquered Kufa. Now Shaam had come and was waiting for her!

When at long last the caravan reached the outskirts of Damascus, a message was received by Umar Sa'ad (LA) that the prisoners were not to be brought into the capital until Yazid (LA) had completed all the preparations.

Yazid (LA) invited all the ambassadors, foreign dignitaries and leading citizens to his court. People were ordered to line up the streets. Musicians were asked to play music and dancers were told to dance in the streets. Such were the festivities organized by the Khalifah for the entry of the grandson and the grand daughters (PBUT) of the Holy Prophet (PBUH) of Islam into what had become the metropolis of the Islamic Empire!! Surrounded by the dancers, the musicians and the jeering crowds of the citizens of Damascus the prisoners were led toward the palace of Yazid. The ladies who had never stepped outside their homes without their heads and faces being covered, had been forced to travel from Karbala’ to Kufa, and Kufa to Shaam bare headed and with their arms tied with a single rope. If any one of them stumbled, she was whipped. Never in the history of Islam had prisoners been treated with disrespect, let alone the cruelty meted out to the members of the Holy Prophet's household (PBUT). And now, this ultimate insult of being led into the court of Yazid (LA) like a herd of cattle!

Muharram 25
Martyrdom of Imam al-Sajjad 95/713
Imam al-Sajjad (a) was martyred in 94/713 (or 95/714) with a poison given by the order of al-Walid b. 'Abd al-Malik.He (a) was buried in al-Baqi' cemetery beside his uncle, Imam al-Hasan al-Mujtaba (a).

In the Battle of Karbala and on the day Imam al-Husayn (a) and his companions were martyred, Imam al-Sajjad (a) was severely sick so that in some cases when they wanted to kill him, some said, "This sickness is enough for him

After the tragedy of Karbala, they captured the family of Imam al-Husayn (a) and took them to Kufa and Damascus. Upon taking them from Karbala to Kufa, they put Jami'a [hand-to-neck chains] on him, and since he was sick and could not keep sitting on the back of the camel, they fastened his feet under the belly of the camel.

In any case, 'Ubayd Allah b. Ziyad kept Imam al-Sajjad (a) and other captives of Karbala in prison and wrote a letter to Damascus and asked Yazid what to do with them. Yazid replied and ordered him to send captives and the heads of the martyrs of Karbala to Damascus. 'Ubayd Allah b. Ziyad put shackles on Imam's (a) neck and sent him and other captives with Muhaffar b. Tha'laba to Damascus

Imam al-Sajjad (a) gave a speech in the mosque of Damascus and introduced himself, his father, and his grandfather to people and told the people of Damascus that what Yazid and his agents have propagated are not true. His father was not a rebel and did not want to disturb the Muslim community and make mischief in Islamic lands. He (a) rose for truth and by invitation of Muslims to remove heresies brought up in religion and bring the simplicity and purity it had at the time of his grandfather.

Imam al-Sajjad (a) lived 34 years after the Battle of Karbala and always made efforts to keep the memory of the martyrs of Karbala alive.

Whenever he (a) drank water, he remembered his father and wept on the hardships of Imam al-Husayn (a). It is mentioned in a narration from Imam al-Sadiq (a) that, "Imam al-Sajjad (a) wept forty years upon his honorable father, while he (a) was fasting the days and praying the nights.
