THE MUTTAQIN & MUHSINEEN

Their Traits And Rewards
➖➖➖
Allah ﷻ says in Sura Al-Imran
وَسَارِعُوٓا۟ إِلَىٰ مَغْفِرَةٍۢ مِّن رَّبِّكُمْ وَجَنَّةٍ عَرْضُهَا ٱلسَّمَٰوَٰتُ وَٱلْأَرْضُ أُعِدَّتْ لِلْمُتَّقِين
And march forth in the way of forgiveness from your Lord, and for Paradise as wide as the heavens and the earth, prepared for the Muttaqin (righteous).
Who are they?
ٱلَّذِينَ يُنفِقُونَ فِى ٱلسَّرَّآءِ وَٱلضَّرَّآءِ
Those who spend (in Allah's cause) in prosperity and in adversity.
[3:133-134]
Prophet ﷺ said :"Charity does not decrease wealth!"
[Sahih Muslim 2588]
_
Allah ﷻ continues in the same ayah
وَٱلْكَٰظِمِينَ ٱلْغَيْظَ وَٱلْعَافِينَ عَنِ ٱلنَّاسِ ۗ
Who repress their anger, and pardon the people.
وَٱللَّهُ يُحِبُّ ٱلْمُحْسِنِينَ
And Allah loves those who are Muhsineen.
[3:134]
A Muhsin is the one who has perfected his Imaan to a state of excellence.
_
Then Allah ﷻ describes them further
وَٱلَّذِينَ إِذَا فَعَلُوا۟ فَٰحِشَةً أَوْ ظَلَمُوٓا۟ أَنفُسَهُمْ ذَكَرُوا۟ ٱللَّهَ فَٱسْتَغْفَرُوا۟ لِذُنُوبِهِمْ
_And those who, when they commit an immorality or wrong themselves [by transgression], remember Allah and seek forgiveness for their sins_
[3:135]
Iblis cried at the revelation of this Ayah!
_
Allah ﷻ continues
وَمَن يَغْفِرُ ٱلذُّنُوبَ إِلَّا ٱللَّهُ
And who can forgive sins except Allah
وَلَمْ يُصِرُّوا۟ عَلَىٰ مَا فَعَلُوا۟ وَهُمْ يَعْلَمُونَ
And do not persist in their sins whilst they know
[3:135]
This shows that abstinence from past sins shows complete Tawbah!
_
Then Allah ﷻ states their reward.
أُو۟لَٰٓئِكَ جَزَآؤُهُم مَّغْفِرَةٌۭ مِّن رَّبِّهِمْ وَجَنَّٰتٌۭ
For those, the reward of forgiveness from their lord. Gardens
تَجْرِى مِن تَحْتِهَا ٱلْأَنْهَٰرُ
Beneath which rivers flow.
خَٰلِدِينَ فِيهَا ۚ
They shall abide therein (forever)
وَنِعْمَ أَجْرُ ٱلْعَٰمِلِينَ
How excellent is this reward for the Good-Doers.
[3:136]
_
We need to be those who do Tawbah frequently!
_
Why? Why this effort?
Pleasing Allah ﷻ
Seeing Allah ﷻ
Gardens beneath which rivers flow!
Eternal bliss!
_
May Allah ﷻ forgive us and grant us goodness both in this world and the hereafter
