“Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.” – Romans 12:21
As soon as the bell rang, the students ran to the playground as it was P.T period. They began to play on the see-saw, swing, slide and merry go round. They were advised by the teacher to stand in a line and take turns to play. Mahesh was a naughty boy. He pushed everybody and without waiting for his turn, jumped the queue and played on the play things one by one. His classmates were sad.
On seeing what Mahesh was doing Prabhu called his friends for playing a new game. Naming an animal and making the sound made by that animal was the new game. If someone said cat, the others must reply “meow, meow” All expect Mahesh joined the game. Sitting on the swing Mahesh started at Prabhu angrily and made fun of them by imitating what they said. He swung to and fro very fast. Alas, the chain broke and he fell to the ground. Prabhu ran with his friends to help him. Mahesh cried is pain. They carried him to the room where first and were given. Even though Mahesh was troublesome and unfriendly, Prabhu helped him and showed his love. Mahesh felt ashamed of himself as he saw the good nature of Prabhu. That day he decided to be friendly and to play with his classmates in harmony. As Prabhu returned good for evil, there was a change in Mahesh’s character. Naughty Mahesh became nice Mahesh.
Kids, do you like this story? We must never repay anyone evil for evil. We must learn to overcome evil with good. Jesus Christ will be pleased with you if you do well to others, ok? O…yes super…
