Goddess Lakshmi originated from the ocean of milk. Ani means that if every penny we earn is with a moral, honest and clean manner, then her grace will be applied immensely. Otherwise, however you earn, that Lakshmi will remain as Alakshmi. Similarly, if you earn as a reason for their tears by torturing others, then that Lakshmi becomes fragile. The money that has been transferred to you through someone's tears will disappear from you in eternity with more tears. Born in the ocean of milk, but if we realize that it is not from the ocean of sins, it is like we have mothers with us..
