నాలుక ద్వారా జరిగే పాపాలు
Sins of the Mouth / Teeth refer to the moral and spiritual failures committed through speech—words that wound, deceive, divide, or dishonor God and others. Scripture repeatedly warns about the power of the tongue. In James 3:5–6, the tongue is described as a small spark that can set a great forest on fire, illustrating how destructive careless words can be. Similarly, Proverbs 18:21 declares that “death and life are in the power of the tongue,” emphasizing the profound impact of speech.
These sins include lying, gossip, slander, cursing, harsh criticism, false witness, blasphemy, and corrupt talk. Words spoken in anger, pride, jealousy, or deceit can damage relationships, reputations, and spiritual integrity. The “teeth” metaphor highlights how speech can bite, tear down, and consume rather than build up.
Biblically, believers are called to discipline their speech—to speak truth in love, offer encouragement, practice self-control, and ensure that their words reflect righteousness. Mastery over the mouth is not merely about silence, but about intentional, life-giving communication that honors God and strengthens others.
