CSI Vellore Diocese gives thanks and rejoices as we recall the visit of CSI Bishops to the Tamil Nadu Secretariat on 22 December 2025, where Christmas greetings were extended to the Honourable Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu.

We gratefully note the Government Order dated 24 December 2025, approving the regularisation of teachers appointed in Government-aided minority schools prior to 13 January 2023, without insisting on TNTET. This decision upholds the constitutional rights of minority educational institutions.

The CSI Vellore Diocese places on record its sincere appreciation to the Government of Tamil Nadu.

On Sunday 27 July 2025, the newly built CSI St Thomas Church in Hutti, Raichur District, Karnataka was joyfully dedicated to the glory of God by our beloved Rt Revd H Sharma Nithiyanandham, Bishop in Vellore, along with Mrs C Jessie Sophia, Bishop Amma. The service also included the laying of the foundation stone for the new parsonage.

We were honoured by the presence of Rt Revd Dr B D Prasad Rao, Bishop Emeritus of the Rayalaseema Diocese, along with presbyters from the Vellore Diocese and members of the Ecumenical Fellowship in Hutti.

What made the day even more special was the Confirmation Service that followed, where 16 candidates joyfully committed their lives to Christ. It was a powerful and moving reminder that the Church is not just a building but a living community built on Christ the cornerstone.

We thank God for His faithfulness and for guiding the Hutti congregation through this journey. May this new church be a place where many find hope, healing and new life in Christ.
