After the big Snana Purnima bath, Lord Jagannath, along with His brother Balabhadra and sister Subhadra, is now resting in quarantine for 14 days. This old tradition is called Anasara and has been followed for more than 1000 years. It is believed that the deities catch a fever after the holy bath, just like humans. During this time, they are given herbal medicine and kept away from public view. So, no darshan is allowed now. Darshan will start again on the 26th, just one day before the grand Rath Yatra. This special time reminds us of love, care, and faith.
