Arjuna is preparing to do a thapas for obtaining Pasupathasthra from Lord Shiva. Arjuna goes to the Himalayas to do thapas. He selects Mount Kailas. This time Lord Shiva wants to test the skill of Arjuna. He changes himself as Kattalan and his wife Parvathy as Kattala sthree. That time a Pig appears and Arjuna sends an arrow. The Kattala along with his wife appears on the scene The Kattala also sends an arrow. The Pig is no more. A dispute arises between Arjuna and the kattala, who killed the Pig. This, leads to a fight. Kattalasthree again and Again tries to stop it. Kattala throws Arjuna to the ground. The Unconscious Arjuna slowly recovers. He makes an idol of Siva with sand and offering flowers to the idol. The flowers fall at the feet of Kattala. He realizes that the kattala is Shiva and his Wife is Parvathy.Arjuna asks for forgiveness. They bless Arjuna and give him Pasupathasthra.
