The Sri Sathya Sai Seva Organisation was founded in the 1960s by Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba to enable its members to undertake service activities as a means to spiritual advancement. As per the survey information the village Mahilas were completely ignorant on taking hospital facilities for deliveries towards safe motherhood and as well as their malnutrition levels. They have some sort of phobia for hospitals and preferred traditional midwives as they have full faith in them. It was not easy to convince them but it was important to address their problems for which consulting a gynecologist became a necessity. However with Bhagawan’s grace the team of Mother and Child Care programme discussed the problem with SaiYouth Brothers & Elders and all decided to arrange a Gynec and General Medical camp in Paikhed village which was organized on 12th July ‘09. Dr. Janak Desai, Dr. Yomesh Desai - General Practitioners and Dr. Jyotsana Desai - Gynecologist offered their selfless service in this Medical Seva. A Total of 155 patients’s approx. were examined and given free medicines. SaiYouth sisters recorded the weight of pregnant women and referred them to the Gynecologists who gave necessary guidance to concerned women for their problems like miscarriages & other pregnancy related issues and vaccinations. AND MANY MORE ACTIVITIES WERE DONE BY SATYA SAI SEVA SAMITI, VALSAD.
