Our Ashram's Golden Jubilee Celebrations - Brochure

Nityananda Bhagawan is a great avadhuta guru hailing from kerala which is the birth place of Jagad guru Adishankara. Brahmapuri Nityanandashramam where the samadhi of Bagavan is situated is the only spiritual ashram bearing his name in Ganeshpuri. After bhagavan's Samadhi his direct disciple Sankar Gurudas Swami had built an ashram according to bhagavan's wish in Brahmapuri hill adjacent to Ganaeshpuri. Idol of Muttappa an incarnation of lord shiva who is the local deity near the birth place of bhagavan was also installed in the brahmapuri as directed by bhagavan who himself is the embodiment of lord shiva. Now the brahmapuri had grown into a huge temple arcade where Sita-Rama temple and Ashta vianyak temple and Naga temple and Dattapida and Gulika diety had come into being.
With bhagavan's grace Brahmapuri Nityanandashramam which had witnessed many wonders during the last 50 years is celebrating its golden jubilee this year. The golden jubilee celebrations are planned based on the Panchamaha yajna prescribed in Vedas. This is to help a sadhaka who follows Sanatana dharma to attain spiritual growth. A Sadhaka who participate in every programs in the celebration gets a impression that he had undergone all spiritual practices in the daily life. Those who are participating in every yajna and pooja during the celebrations will receive the blessing for healthy living and prosperity.This is also helps liberate the souls of ancestors to attain moksha and also foster the well being for future generation.
The program starts with Dharmadhwajarohana in the auspicious Gurupoornima day on July 31, 2015. As a continuation there will be program on every month . Yearly Thiruvapapna festival and Kaliyattam which use to commence in the month of December will be celebrated with more festivities and more number of Theyyams this year. As a curtain raiser to the festival there will be RathaYathra and special poojas in the main centers of mumbai. Dignitaries from Kerala, Maharastra and national level will attend the Sanatana dharma congress to be held as the part of cultural gathering in the Celebrations. On June 5th of 2016, international environmental day, thousands of medicinal plants and star sign trees will be planted all over Brahmapuri and with this auspicious event the official jubilee celebration will come to end. During the one year course of the celebrations all the Jayanthi and samadhi days of all Mahatmas and all auspicious days will be celebrated in the ashram. As a part of the Golden jubilee there will be spiritual gathering and cultural festivals and sat sangs in various centers in Mumbai. An elaborate souvenir which can be used as a spiritual guide for future generation is also planned.
