Sri Vithoba Temple, Mundkur was established on 25th February'1942 [Vrashabha Nama Samvatsara, Falguna Masa, Shuddha Dashami] though the process was started in early 1939 by the villagers under the leadership of Late M. Laxmana Kamath and Pratishtapana of new bimba of Sri Rukmini Satyabhama sahita Sri Vithoba was held by then Sri Kashi Mathadhipathi H.H Srimad Sukrateendra Thirtha Swamiji. In the y
ear 1975, with the blessings of Sri Kashi Mathadhipathi H.H Srimad Sudhindra Thirtha Swamiji, Punar Pratishta of Lord Sri Rukmini Satyabhama sahita Sri Vithoba was held on 7th December'1975 [Margashira shuddha Panchami] by Swamiji. On behalf of this with the blessings of H.H Srimad Sukrateendra Thirtha Swamiji "Sri Sukrateendra Sabha Bhavan" (a Function Hall) was inaugurated. Samaj had the desire to renovate the temple. By the grace of Sri Kashi Mathadhipathi H.H Srimad Sudhindra Thirtha Swamiji, the temple today got renovated as Shilamaya which attracts the devotees with its own beauty. Punar Pratishta Mahostav [8th April 2008] remains a memorable event for the Samaj bhandavas in this regard. Along with this "Venkatramana Sabha Sadan" (a new Function Hall) was also inaugurated. With constant participation of Managing Trust and Samaj Bhandhavas Trikal Pooja followed by Bhajan Keerthans are performed daily in the Temple.
