Sri Annapoorneshwari Temple, Mulladka Sri Annapoorneshwari Temple, Mulladka, is located about 2.5km from Mundkur town PIN 576121. It is She who feeds all the humans, animals, birds and insects.

It is surrounded by rice fields and the temple is on a small hillock with Shaambhavi river about 300m away. Sri Annapoorneshwari is another form of Parvati Devi, one among the trio of Parvati, Lakshmi and Saraswati. Just as Lakshmi is known as Goddess of wealth, Saraswati as Goddess of knowledge, Annapoorneshwari is known as Goddess of food. Sri Adi Shankaracharya of 8th century sung hymns on Kash

i Annapoorneshwari, which is the first Annapoorneshwari temple of Bharath. It is very ancient temple, reconstructed by Maratha king in 18th century. It is surrounded by rice fields and the temple is on a small hillock with Shaambhavi river about 300 m away. There are only about 50 hamlets within one km of the temple as of 2020. As per asthamangala prasna done in 1967, it was about 800 year old. It is the first Annapoorneshwari temple of Mangaluru- Udupi districts. It fell down totally about 400years ago for unknown reason. In 1962, the temple was in total ruins with all round thick bushes, fallen walls, broken idol etc. Its renovation started in 1975 in a humble way and the temple is now almost complete by the village standard. This is a rare temple with Naaga Vana adjacent to it. ABOUT US

*ದೆಹಲಿ ಸುಲ್ತಾನರ ಗುಲಾಮ - ರಾಜವಂಶದ ಮೊದಲ ಆಡಳಿತಗಾರ - "ಕುತುಬುದ್ದೀನ್ ಐಬಕ್" ಓಡುವ ಕುದುರೆಯಿಂದ ಬಿದ್ದು ಸತ್ತ.*

ಈ ಸುದ್ದಿ ಓದಿದರೆ ಸಖೇದಾಶ್ಚರ್ಯವಾಗುತ್ತೇ ಅಲ್ವಾ??

ಏಕೆಂದರೆ ತನ್ನ 11ನೇ ವಯಸ್ಸಿನಲ್ಲೇ ಮೊದಲು ಕುದುರೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಸವಾರಿ ಮಾಡಿದ ಮತ್ತು ಕುದುರೆ ಸವಾರಿ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾ ಲೆಕ್ಕವಿಲ್ಲದಷ್ಟು ಯುದ್ಧಗಳನ್ನು ಮಾಡಿದ ಸೈನ್ಯದ ಒಬ್ಬ "ಜನರಲ್" ಓಡುವ ಕುದುರೆಯಿಂದ ಬಿದ್ದು ಸಾಯುವುದು ಸಾಧ್ಯವೇ ?

*ನೈಜ ಇತಿಹಾಸ ವಿರುದ್ಧ ಸುಳ್ಳು ಕಥೆ*

ಕುತುಬುದ್ದೀನ್ ಐಬಕ್ ರಜಪೂತಾನವನ್ನು ಲೂಟಿ ಮಾಡಿದಾಗ, ಅವನು ಮೇವಾಡದ ರಾಜನನ್ನು ಕೊಂದು ರಾಜಕುಮಾರ ಕರಣ್ ಸಿಂಗನನ್ನು ವಶಪಡಿಸಿಕೊಂಡನು. ಲೂಟಿ ಮಾಡಿದ ಸಂಪತ್ತು ಮತ್ತು ರಾಜಕುಮಾರನ ಜೊತೆಗೆ, ಅವನು ರಾಜಕುಮಾರನ ಕುದುರೆ *"..ಶುಭ್ರಕ್.."* ಅನ್ನೂ ಲಾಹೋರ್‌ಗೆ ಕರೆದೊಯ್ದನು.

ಲಾಹೋರ್‌ನಲ್ಲಿ ಕರಣ್ ಸಿಂಗ್ ತಪ್ಪಿಸಿಕೊಳ್ಳಲು ಯತ್ನಿಸಿ ಸಿಕ್ಕಿಬಿದ್ದಾಗ, ಕುತುಬುದ್ದೀನ್ ಅವನ ಶಿರಚ್ಛೇದವನ್ನು ಮಾಡಲು ಹಾಗೂ ತನ್ನ ರಾಕ್ಷಸೀ ಪ್ರವೃತ್ತಿಯಂತೆ ಪೋಲೋ ಪಂದ್ಯವನ್ನು ಆಡಲು, ಸತ್ತ ರಾಜಕುಮಾರನ ತಲೆಯನ್ನು ಚೆಂಡಿನಂತೆ ಬಳಸಲು ಆದೇಶವನ್ನು ನೀಡಿದನು.

ಶಿರಚ್ಛೇದದ ದಿನ, ಕುತುಬುದ್ದೀನ್- *"ಶುಭ್ರಕ್"* ಮೇಲೆ ಸವಾರಿ ಮಾಡುತ್ತಾ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ಬಂದ. ಕುದುರೆಯು ತನ್ನ ಯಜಮಾನ ಕರಣ್ ಸಿಂಗ್‌ನನ್ನು ನೋಡಿ ಅನಿಯಂತ್ರಿತವಾಗಿ ಓಡಲು ಪ್ರಾರಂಭಿಸಿತು. ಇದರ ಪರಿಣಾಮವಾಗಿ ಕುತುಬುದ್ದೀನ್ ಕುದುರೆಯಿಂದ ಬಿದ್ದನು ಮತ್ತು *ಶುಭ್ರಕ್* ಬಿದ್ದ ಕುತುಬುದ್ದೀನ್‌ನನ್ನು ತೀವ್ರವಾಗಿ ಒದೆಯುತ್ತಾ ಮಾರಣಾಂತಿಕವಾಗಿ ಎದೆ ಮತ್ತು ತಲೆಯ ಮೇಲೆ ಬಲವಾದ ಹೊಡೆತಗಳಿಂದ ಧಾಳಿಮಾಡಿತು.
*ಕುತುಬುದ್ದೀನ್ ಐಬಕ್ ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲೇ ಮೃತಪಟ್ಟ.*

ಎಲ್ಲರೂ ದಿಗ್ಭ್ರಮೆಗೊಂಡರು. *ಶುಭ್ರಕ್* ಕರಣ್ ಸಿಂಗ್ ಕಡೆಗೆ ಓಡಿತು. ಮತ್ತು ನಂತರದ ಅವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆಯ ಲಾಭವನ್ನು ಪಡೆದುಕೊಂಡ ರಾಜಕುಮಾರ ಒಂದೇ ನೆಗೆತಕ್ಕೆ ಜಿಗಿದು ತನ್ನ ಧೀರ ಕುದುರೆಯನ್ನು ಏರಿದನು. ಅವನು ತಕ್ಷಣವೇ *ಶುಭ್ರಕ್* ಅತ್ಯಂತ ವೇಗವಾಗಿ ನಾಗಾಲೋಟದಿಂದ ಓಡಲು ಪ್ರಾರಂಭಿಸಿತು.

3 ದಿನಗಳ ಕಾಲ ನಿರಂತರವಾಗಿ ಓಡಿ ಅಂತಿಮವಾಗಿ ಮೇವಾಡ್ ಸಾಮ್ರಾಜ್ಯದ ದ್ವಾರಗಳಲ್ಲಿ ನಿಂತಿತು. ರಾಜಕುಮಾರನು ತಡಿಯಿಂದ ಇಳಿದಾಗ, *ಶುಭ್ರಕ್* ಪ್ರತಿಮೆಯಂತೆ ನಿಂತಿತ್ತು. ಕರಣ್ ಸಿಂಗ್ ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಪ್ರೀತಿಯಿಂದ ತನ್ನ ಪ್ರೀತಿಯ ಕುದುರೆಯ ತಲೆಯನ್ನು ಮೇಲೆ ತನ್ನ ಕೈಗಳಿಂದ ನೇವರಿಸಿದನು. ಆದರೆ ಮರುಕ್ಷಣವೇ *ಶುಭ್ರಕ್* ನೆಲಕ್ಕೆ ಬಿದ್ದಾಗ ಅವನು ಅತ್ಯಂತ ಆಘಾತಕ್ಕೊಳಗಾದನು.

ಆ ಬಲಿಷ್ಟವಾದ ಕುದುರೆಯು ತನ್ನ ಯಜಮಾನನನ್ನು ರಕ್ಷಿಸುವಲ್ಲಿ ಯಶಸ್ವಿಯಾಗಿತ್ತು ಮತ್ತು ಆತ್ಮಾರ್ಪಣೆಗೈಯುವ ಮೊದಲು ರಾಜಕುಮಾರನನ್ನು ಸುರಕ್ಷಿತವಾಗಿ ತನ್ನ ರಾಜ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಮರಳಿ ಕರೆದೊಯ್ಯಿತು. ನಾವು ಚೇತಕ್ ಬಗ್ಗೆ ಓದಿದ್ದೇವೆ, ಆದರೆ *ಶುಭ್ರಕ್* ಕಥೆಯು ನಿಷ್ಠೆಯನ್ನು ಮೀರಿದೆ!

ಈ ರೀತಿಯ ಸಂಗತಿಗಳು ನಮ್ಮ ಆಧುನಿಕ ಶಿಕ್ಷಣ ವ್ಯವಸ್ಥೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಎಂದಿಗೂ ಪಠ್ಯಕ್ರಮದ ಭಾಗವಾಗುವುದಿಲ್ಲ. ನಮ್ಮಲ್ಲಿ ಹೆಚ್ಚಿನವರು ಈ ಹೆಸರನ್ನು ಕೇಳಿಲ್ಲ. ನಾವೂ ಕೂಡ ಕೇಳಿರಲಿಲ್ಲ.

ಇದು ದುಷ್ಟರಾಜಕಾರಣಿಗಳ ಕೈಗೆ ಸಿಲುಕಿ ಕಾಲಗರ್ಭದಲ್ಲಿ ಸಮಾಧಿಗೊಂಡ ನಮ್ಮ ಇತಿಹಾಸದ ವೈಭವವನ್ನು ಹಂಚಿಕೊಳ್ಳುವ ಸಮಯ
