*Inspiring Commentary:*

This is a special prayer presumably for a time of battle. The Psalmist was praying that the Lord will hear the cry of His people and keep them safe from harm. The tragic times in which we live indeed calls for these kinds of prayer. We hear daily news of all kinds of evil; the media is awash with terrible events, happening on a daily basis. One is not often sure what to expect each day. One is really not sure what tomorrow may bring, we do not have the ability to foretell the future and its intricate details. But from this Psalm we can draw strength for daily living, because we know that he will send us strength and help from His sanctuary.

We must not presume that prayer is an opportunity to arm twist God or a magic wand to keep away evil, nor are we to assume that once we have had our quiet time for the day, then no bad thing can happen. It simply means that God will give us the strength to face whatever the day may bring.

In v.4-5, we see that even our future plans are not exempt from His magnanimous oversight, we can be certain of victory, whatever life throws at us. We are secure in Him.

*Prayer:* Lord, in you alone will I put my confidence; I know that I have all I need to cope with whatever life may throw at me.

1. May the Lord answer you when you are in distress; may the name of the God of Jacob protect you.

2. May he send you help from the sanctuary and grant you support from Zion.

3. May he remember all your sacrifices and accept your burnt offerings.

4. May he give you the desire of your heart and make all your plans succeed.

5. May we shout for joy over your victory and lift up our banners in the name of our God. May the Lord grant all your requests.

6. Now this I know: The Lord gives victory to his anointed. He answers him from his heavenly sanctuary with the victorious power of his right hand.

7. Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the Lord our God.

8. They are brought to their knees and fall, but we rise up and stand firm.

Lord Jesus Christ has Great plans for us in 2017

"God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works within us" - Ephesians 3: 20

God wants to do exceedingly abundantly above and beyond all we can imagine or ever think. HE wants to pour out His Grace, Favor, Blessings and Mighty Anointing on us and open up new doors and opportunities that are beyond your expectations.

All this is “According to the power of the Holy Spirit that works in us.” How does His power work in us? When we completely yield ourselves to Him, when we obey His Word and do what pleases Him, more of His Power and Glory is available in our lives. When we put Jesus first in everything we do, when we choose to love Jesus, we are allowing more of the Power of the Holy Spirit (Jesus Christ) to work in and through us. When we choose God’s way, we get God’s results : Peace, Joy, Favor, Grace, Power and Glory.

Whatever we are facing - struggles or trials or storms, know that when we invite God into our circumstances, HE will change them! HE will do more than we could ever imagine. Line yourself up with His Word in our thoughts, words and actions, and watch Lord Jesus Christ do exceedingly abundantly far and beyond what we could ever imagine.

Once we have set everything right Start thinking big cause God's Plans in our lives are great. No matter what we are going through. When we look at his Word we understand God's Plans are big and great in our lives. As the Scriptures says, in Jer. 29:11 - "For I know the Plans that I have for You" ,declares the Lord,"Plans to prosper you and not to harm you, Plans to give you hope and a future".

We can never change our life with small thinking. God does big thinking and has great plans for us, and HE is calling us to do big thinking for the new year 2017.

Remember ..... God is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think!!!...activate your FAITH !! Eph.3:20.

GOD has great plans for you in 2017. PRAY in Faith and WAIT with great expectation for the LORD to Bless and work mighty wonders. All for HIS Glory.
