Why India? People ask us why we invest so much of our time and resources in a place like India. There are many reasons but here is one for you to think about. According to the CIA Factbook, the population of India is 1,189,172,906. It also says that 2.3% of the population is Christian. That means 97.7% of the population is non-Christian. a 24,370 people die. If you apply the above percentages to the number of people who die every day in India you will discover something wonderful and something very sad. Every day in India 561 Christians die and go into eternity to be with Jesus. Praise the Lord! Every day in India 23,809 non-Christians die but they go into eternity separated from God. That means every hour 992 people in India die without Christ
