31st March 2026 – Chrism Mass and Celebration of Priesthood

The Chrism Mass was solemnly celebrated on this grace-filled day, with many priests, religious, and lay faithful gathered in prayer and unity.

The Holy Mass was celebrated by Most Reverend Andrew R. Marak, Bishop of Tura, and concelebrated by Most Reverend Jose Chirackal, Auxiliary Bishop, along with numerous priests. It was a beautiful expression of communion between the Bishop and his priests, sharing in the apostolic mission of Christ.

During the celebration, the Bishop appreciated the priests for their dedicated service to the faithful. The holy oils were blessed for use in the sacraments such as Baptism, Confirmation, Anointing of the Sick, Holy Orders, and the dedication of churches.

The priests also renewed their vows, reaffirming their commitment to serve God and His people in union with their Bishop.

Tuesday, 31st March 2026
Cathedral Parish
The Chrism Mass is a sacred liturgy in which the Bishop blesses and consecrates the holy oils, and the priests renew their promises of faithful service and dedication.
Sacred Oils are:
• Oil of the Sick – brings healing and strength to the suffering.
• Oil of Catechumens – gives courage and prepares for baptism.
• Sacred Chrism – signifies the gift of the Holy Spirit and consecration.
This celebration expresses the unity of the Church and calls us to pray together as one family in Christ.

The faithful of Tura Town Parish and all people of goodwill are warmly welcome.

Wachigop Pilgrimage – 27 March 2026

Thousands of faithful gathered at Wachikop, under Deku Parish, for the Way of the Cross and Holy Mass. Drawn by the many graces and miracles experienced here, people came in large numbers with deep faith and devotion. Young and old alike made the pilgrimage, offering their prayers with hope and trust in the Lord. By the Mother Church, indulgences are granted to those who sincerely meditate on the Way of the Cross with a true and devoted heart.

Prayer at the Sacred Heart Shrine for Peace in the Garo Hills. 22.03.2026

In these difficult times, we turn to prayer, entrusting all who suffer in body, mind, and spirit to the Lord with love. “Come to me, all you who are burdened, and I will give you rest” (Matthew 11:28).
