കണ്ടനാടെ യാത്ര കഴിഞ്ഞ് തിരികെ മടങ്ങുന്ന വഴി...
അൽപ്പ നേരം വണ്ടി ഒന്ന് നിർത്തി...
ഉടൻ കുറച്ച് കുഞ്ഞുങ്ങൾ എവിടെ നിന്നോ വണ്ടിക്ക് ചുറ്റും...
“ഹലോ എങ്ങോട്ടാ എന്നൊരു ചോദ്യം“
പിന്നീട് ഒരു പറച്ചിൽ
അച്ചാ,
ഓണ പരുപാടിയുടെ പിരിവ് ആണ്...
പൈസ വേണം...
തിരുമേനിയും പിള്ളേരും അങ്ങ് സംസാരം തുടങ്ങി...
സത്യത്തിൽ അവന്മാരുടെ സംസാരം കേട്ടപ്പോൾ ചിരി വന്നു...
രണ്ട് പിള്ളേർ വണ്ടിയിൽ താളം പിടിക്കുന്നു...
ഒരു കൊച്ച് തിരുമേനിയോട് ചോദിക്കുന്നു,
”അച്ചൻ ഓർത്തഡോക്സ് ആണോ”
കൊച്ചു പിള്ളേർ ആണ്...
അവസാനം കൊച്ചുങ്ങൾ പൈസ ഒപ്പിച്ചു...
അവരും ഹാപ്പി ഞങ്ങളും ഹാപ്പി...
എല്ലാവർക്കും ഓണാശംസകൾ...

🌼 A Little Onam Moment 🌼
On our way back after the journey to Kandanad, we stopped the vehicle for a few moments…
And, as if from nowhere, a little crowd of children gathered around us.
“Hello… where are you going?”
Their innocent questions filled the moment with warmth.
Then came the real purpose of their little visit:
“Achaa, we are collecting for the Onam programme… We need some money!” 😊
Soon, Thirumeni and the little ones were deep in conversation. Their innocent words, curious questions, and cheerful laughter made the moment truly special.
Two of them even began tapping rhythmically on the vehicle, turning the roadside stop into a little celebration of its own. ❤️
Then came the sweetest question from one little boy:
“Achaa… are you Orthodox?”
Such innocent hearts. Such simple joys.
Before we knew it, the little ones had collected their share, and they walked away happy.
They were happy.
We were happy.
And for a few beautiful moments, strangers became friends.
Perhaps this is what Onam is truly about — sharing, togetherness, innocent smiles, and spreading a little happiness wherever we go. 🌸
