శ్రీ విద్యా హోమం - 20-03-2026

శ్రీ రమణాశ్రమంలో ప్రతి సంవత్సరం శ్రీ విద్యా హోమం నిర్వహిస్తారు. ఈ సంవత్సరం ఈ హోమం 20-03-2026న అత్యంత వైభవంగా జరిగింది. ఈ కార్యక్రమానికి కొన్ని వేల మంది భక్తులు హాజరయ్యారు. ఉదయం సుమారు 7 గంటలకే పూజలు ప్రారంభమయ్యాయి. నవావరణ పూజ, హోమం, సుమంగళి పూజ, కన్యా పూజ, పూర్ణాహుతి మరియు దీపారాధనలు నిర్వహించిన అనంతరం, తీర్థయాత్ర కలశాలలో తీర్థయాత్ర చేసి శ్రీ చక్రమేరుకు అభిషేకం చేశారు. మధ్యాహ్నం సుమారు 3 గంటలకు భగవాన్ (రమణేశ్వర మహా లింగం) మరియు వారి తల్లిగారి దేవాలయం (మాతృభూతేశ్వర) ఆలయాలలో దీపారాధనలు నిర్వహించారు.

శ్రీ విద్యాదేవిని పరదేవతగా పూజిస్తారు మరియు ఆమె తొమ్మిది ఖండన త్రిభుజాలతో కూడిన యంత్ర రూపంలో ఉంటుంది. మేరు చక్రం అనబడే ఈ యంత్రం యొక్క త్రిమితీయ రూపం బంగారంతో కప్పబడి ఉంటుంది.

మాతృభూతేశ్వర ఆలయంలో శ్రీ మేరు చక్ర మేరువు ప్రతిష్ఠాపన సమయంలో, భగవాన్ రమణులు దానిని తమ దివ్య హస్తంతో తాకి మేరువును ఆశీర్వదించారు. ఆలయ కుంభాభిషేకం తర్వాత విస్తృతంగా జరిగిన శ్రీ చక్ర పూజకు కూడా వారు హాజరయ్యారు. ఇది శ్రీ చక్ర పూజ మరియు శ్రీ విద్యా పూజ యొక్క ప్రాముఖ్యతను తెలియజేస్తుంది. శ్రీ విద్య (పరమాత్మను లలితా త్రిపురసుందరి దేవిగా ఆరాధించడం) వేదాల నుండి ఉద్భవించిన అత్యంత పవిత్రమైన సంప్రదాయము.

శ్రీ విద్యను ఆరాధించే పద్ధతులు మరియు ఉద్దేశ్యం గురించి 'త్రిపురా రహస్యం' అనే గ్రంథంలో విస్తృతంగా ప్రస్తావించబడింది. 'హరితాయన సంహిత' అని కూడా పిలువబడే శ్రీ త్రిపుర రహస్యం, "ఓం నమః" ("ప్రణవమునకు నమస్కారములు")తో ప్రారంభమై "శ్రీ త్రిపురైవ హ్రీం" ("త్రిపురాదేవి మాత్రమే హ్రీం")తో ముగుస్తుంది. ఈ పుస్తకాన్ని భగవాన్ రమణ మహర్షుల వారు విస్తృతంగా ఉటంకించేవారు. ఆత్మ స్వరూపమైన త్రిపురాదేవిని మరియు పరమేశ్వరుని, ఆరాధించాలని ఈ పుస్తకం చెబుతుంది. ఈ పుస్తకాన్ని చేతిలోకి తీసుకుని, చదివి, పక్కన పెట్టేసేది కాదు. దీనిలోని శ్లోకాలు దివ్య అమృతంతో నిండి ఉంటాయి. వాటి అర్థాన్ని పదేపదే మననం చేసుకుంటూ, ఆ బోధనలను చిత్తశుద్ధితో ఆచరించడానికి ప్రయత్నించే ఏ సాధకుడి దాహాన్నైనా ఈ పవిత్రమైన పుస్తకం తీరుస్తుంది. ఈ అద్భుతమైన గ్రంథంలో, కథలు మరియు ఉపమానాల ద్వారా, ఆధ్యాత్మిక అన్వేషణ మరియు ప్రాప్తికి సంబంధించిన సంపూర్ణ పరిధి స్పష్టంగా వివరించబడింది. జీవితంలోని పరమ లక్ష్యాన్ని సాధించాలనే తీవ్రమైన ఆకాంక్ష ఉన్న ప్రతి సాధకుడు, త్రిపురారహస్య బోధనలను తప్పక ఆచరించాలి.

• Scientific nutrition & improved feed systems
• Modern milking facility with structured sanitation
• Green fodder cultivated on Ashram & leased lands
• In-house biogas supplying ~50% of kitchen fuel
Importantly, the Gosala is non-commercial and non-soliciting: No fundraising campaigns. No donation drives. No milk sales. Care is never yield-based.
Governance is structured and compliant. Sustainability is integrated. Compassion remains central.
Every aspect - infrastructure, hygiene, nutrition, medical care, sustainability, and animal dignity, has been elevated.

Niranjananda Swamigal Aradhana: 01-02-2026
The Aradhana of Niranjananda Swamigal (the first Sarvadhikari of the Ashram) was observed today, 01 February 2026, at his Samadhi inside the Ashram. A grand pandal was erected, and the Lingam was beautifully decorated with flowers. The ceremony was followed by devotional singing and Arati.
Niranjananda Swamigal was the great-grandfather of the current President of the Ashram, Sri Venkat S. Ramanan. Known affectionately as Chinnaswami, he was born as Nagasundaram in 1887, the third son of Sundaram Iyer and Alagammal (and the younger brother of Bhagavan).
In 1918, he took Sannyas and became Swami Niranjananda. From that time on, he took Bhiksha and shared it with Bhagavan, his devotees, and the Mother. He was a great Karmayogi who dedicated his life to the development of the Ashram.
On January 23, 1953, feeling that his end was nearing, he called his son and successor, T.N. Venkataraman, along with Ashram workers and devotees, and said:
“I am departing with a clear conscience and clean hands. I have not utilized even a pie of the Ashram funds for my own benefit. Everything here belongs to Bhagavan and should be guarded with care and vigilance. Devote yourselves heart and soul to the service of the Lord, and in return, He will shower His grace upon you. Be sincere and truthful to the core of your heart. Uphold our revered ancient traditions in the working of this Ashram, as I have upheld them all my life.”
Chinnaswami passed away on the day of Thaipusam, a Hindu festival celebrated by the Tamil community during the month of Thai (usually falling in January or February). The festival is dedicated to Lord Muruga, the son of Lord Shiva and Parvati. In the Ashram, a small Puja was also conducted today for Thaipusam at the Muruga shrine within the Mathrubhuteswara Temple.

With immense joy and reverence, Sri Ramanasramam celebrates a monumental milestone in its century-long spiritual journey. On 22 January 2026, the Hon’ble Vice-President of India, Shri C.P. Radhakrishnan, released a special ₹100 commemorative coin at the 146th Jayanti celebrations of Bhagavan Sri Ramana Maharshi, held at Ramana Kendra, New Delhi.
The Vice-President, in his address, spoke of Bhagavan’s unique contribution to modern spirituality, emphasizing that Sri Ramana Maharshi’s teachings remain profoundly relevant in today’s world, inspiring seekers toward simplicity, self-awareness, and compassion.
The occasion was graced by the presence of the President of Sri Ramanasramam, Dr. Venkat S. Ramanan, along with distinguished guests, scholars, devotees, and well-wishers, gathered to honour Bhagavan and to mark this historic moment.
This release stands as a fitting national tribute to the Ashram’s hundred years of quiet service, spiritual heritage, and the deep peace that Bhagavan’s presence continues to awaken in hearts everywhere.

Release of Commemorative Coin marking the Centenary of Sri Ramanasramam

To mark the Centenary Celebrations of Sri Ramanasramam, Tiruvannamalai—the sacred abode of Bhagavan Sri Ramana Maharshi—the Honorable Vice President of India, Shri C.P. Radhakrishnan, will visit Ramana Kendra, Delhi, on Thursday, 22nd January 2026, at 6:00 PM, to release a special Commemorative Coin issued by the Government of India.

The live telecast of this sacred and historic occasion will be broadcast on the official Sri Ramanasramam YouTube channel starting from 6:00 PM. All devotees are cordially invited to witness this live broadcast and receive the divine blessings of Bhagavan Sri Ramana Maharshi.

Please Note: Due to this special live broadcast, the regular Thursday evening Veda Parayana and Tamil Parayana live streams will not be held on this day.

Mattu Pongal Celebrations at Sri Ramanasramam (16-01-2026)

The flood of Bhagavan Sri Ramana Maharshi’s grace flows equally not only to the humans who seek refuge in him but also to the voiceless beings. It is well known that during his time in the body, all living creatures—cows, birds, and dogs—mingled with him with great familiarity and right. Among them, Cow Lakshmi holds a most significant place.

"He who sees the Supreme Lord dwelling alike in all beings, the Imperishable amidst the perishable, he alone truly sees." – (Sri Ramana Maharshi, Bhagavad Gita Saram, Verse 15)

In the spirit of this truth—honoring the Supreme Lord who resides as the one reality within all living beings—Mattu Pongal was celebrated with great fervor at the Ashram today (16/1/2026).

To mark the occasion, garlands woven from various savory treats (bakshanams) were adorned upon Lord Nandi at the Matrubhuteswara Shrine, followed by special pujas. Following this, special adoration was performed at the Samadhi of Cow Lakshmi.

The Goshala (cowshed), beautifully decorated with colorful kolams and festive festoons (thoranams), hosted special worship for the cows and calves. The cattle, having been bathed, their horns painted in vibrant colors, and their foreheads anointed with turmeric and kumkum, presented a magnificent feast for the eyes.

Devotees joyfully offered them Sweet Pongal, bananas, and agathi greens, which the cows accepted with delight. Thus, this year’s Mattu Pongal celebration at the Ashram concluded as a grand and heart-filling event.

రామస్వామి పిళ్లై (1895-1995) తన జీవితంలో గణనీయమైన భాగాన్ని శ్రీ రమణుడికి అంకితం చేశారు. రమణ మహర్షుల వారిని ఆశ్రయించిన అనుచరులలో, రామస్వామి పిళ్లై సంపూర్ణ ఆత్మసమర్పణతో కర్మయోగాన్ని ఆచరించిన వ్యక్తిగా ప్రత్యేకంగా నిలిచారు. "సైకిల్ స్వామి" అని ఆప్యాయంగా పిలువబడే ఆయన వర్ధంతిని, ఆశ్రమ ప్రాంగణంలో ఉన్న వారి సమాధి వద్ద భక్తులు ఈ రోజు (14/01/2026) జరుపుకున్నారు.

రామస్వామి పిళ్లై మొదట తన ఉపాధ్యాయల వద్దనుండి భగవాన్ రమణుల చిత్రపటాన్ని పొందారు. తన గురువు నుండి శ్రీ భగవాన్ గురించి తెలుసుకున్న తర్వాత, ఆయన దర్శనం కోసం తిరువణ్ణామలైకి వచ్చారు. ప్రారంభంలో, తిరువణ్ణామలైకి వచ్చినప్పుడు, ఆయన పట్టణంలో బస చేసి భగవాన్‌ను దర్శించుకునేవారు. ఒకసారి, స్కందాశ్రమంలో భగవాన్‌తో కలిసి రాత్రి గడిపే భాగ్యం ఆయనకు లభించింది. సమీపంలో ఉన్న ఒక భక్తుడు ఆయనతో, "భగవాన్ కేవలం మధ్యాహ్నం మాత్రమే భోజనం చేస్తారు, కాబట్టి రాత్రిపూట ఆశ్రమంలో భోజన ఏర్పాట్లు ఉండవు" అని తెలియజేశాడు. శ్రీ భగవాన్‌తో రాత్రి గడపాలని గట్టిగా నిశ్చయించుకున్న ఆయన, ఆహారం గురించిన ఆలోచనలను పక్కన పెట్టి స్కందాశ్రమంలోనే ఉండిపోయారు. కొన్ని సంవత్సరాల తరువాత, శ్రీ భగవాన్‌కు సేవ చేయడానికి ఆయన శాశ్వతంగా ఆశ్రమంలో నివసించడం ప్రారంభించారు.

ఇతర భక్తుల సహాయంతో, రామస్వామి పిళ్లై స్కందాశ్రమానికి వెళ్లే మార్గాన్ని మరమ్మతులు చేసి, బాగుచేశారు. తన ప్రయత్నాలు మరియు శారీరక శ్రమతో, ఆయన కొండపైన ఉన్న వాగు వెంబడి ఒక కట్టను నిర్మించారు.

ఆశ్రమ పనుల కోసం మరియు భక్తుల అవసరాలను తీర్చడానికి ఆయన రోజుకు చాలాసార్లు తన సైకిల్‌పై ప్రయాణించేవారు. అందుకే భక్తులు ఆయనను ఆప్యాయంగా "సైకిల్ స్వామి" అని పిలిచేవారు.

ఆయన శ్రీ రమణాశ్రమంలో పూల తోటను ఏర్పాటు చేసి, అనేక చోట్ల నీడనిచ్చే చెట్లను నాటి, వాటిని స్వయంగా పోషించారు. ఆయన 100 సంవత్సరాల వయస్సులో శ్రీ భగవాన్ పవిత్ర పాదాలను చేరుకున్నారు.
