Request for Contribution - Youth Camp 2025

Hari Om! Namaskaram.

Sri Arunachala Ramana Atma Vidya Mandir is conducting a spiritual youth camp at Masinagudi, near Ooty from 25th July to 28th July 2025.

Theme - 'Maam Anusmara Yuddhya Cha'

'Remember me and Fight!' These are the words of Bhagavan Sri Krishna from Bhagavad Gita (Ch. 8 Verse 7) prompting through Arjuna, all of us to face life and it's challenges courageously without forgetting the source of knowledge and power within us! This is the main idea we are going to share with the youngsters through this camp.

Apart from this we are organizing two workshops on important topics with the experts from the field
1) Food & Nutrition from our cultural perspective &
2) Artificial Intelligence - how to prepare ourselves

Also we are taking them on a Jungle Safari in the close by Mudhumalai Tiger Reserve and giving them an experience of a toy train ride from Meetupalayam to Ooty. Some sight seeing in Ooty also on cards...

Around 40 youngsters (boys & girls) who are mostly students studying in college are participating. Since Masinagudi is near Ooty and a proper tourist spot, the accommodation, food, transport & sight seeing everything is very costly and our budget has gone through the roof.

We are able to sustain the interest of the youngsters in such spiritual camps only if we give the carrot of some exotic places and adventurous sight seeing etc. Therefore it becomes unavoidable to design our youth camps in this fashion.

However as students they cannot pay beyond a point as they are from very ordinary middle class families. Therefore we have to subsidize for them. We are only charging Rs. 2500 per person though it is costing almost triple the amount. Two of the young fellows from a village close to our Ashram are also joining. We are taking them free of cost just to give them a taste and inspire them to bring more youngsters from the village in future.

We have two schemes in which you could help

Food Sponsorships

You can sponsor any one or more of the meals...
Breakfast - Rs. 7,000
Lunch - Rs. 10,000
Dinner - Rs. 8,000

Student Sponsorships

Sponsorship for a student - Rs. 2,500 .

Note - You can even sponsor one or more students if you wish.

We are sure all of you appreciate the real need to mould the younger minds for the bright future of our Bharata desha and are very particular that the younger generation should be given right values, taught good habits and guided in the right path. This Youth Camp does exactly that, giving the youngsters an idea of how to lead the Gita way of life, always smiling like Sri Krishna.

Hari Om! Namaskaram,

The construction of the first floor with six rooms (plus a sevak room) on top of the existing Residential block is going on well. We have reached roof level. Everything is geared up for laying concrete. With Sri Bhagavan's grace things are moving smoothly.

Around 20 Lakhs would be required to complete the project in time for the Bhagavad Gita Course to be conducted end of this year.

We appeal to our devotees all over the world to contribute whatever possible to complete the project. This is for all of us to come and stay, study, meditate and uplift ourselves.

Funds required to complete the project - 20 Lakhs
