108 Sangabhishekam of Ardhanareeshwar Utsava Murthy from Tiruchengode

As part of the Parti Yatra, devotees from Tamil Nadu had organised a special Sangabhishekam ceremony for Ardhanareeshwar Utsava Murthy from the hill-temple in Tiruchengode. The special programme was organised in the Poornachandra Auditorium on 13 April, 10 a.m. onwards.

The temple at Tiruchengode is regarded as the 4th of the 7 Tevara Stalams in the Kongu Region of Tamil Nadu. Ardhanareeswarar, a form of Shiva, representing the unity of Shiva and Parvati, is enshrined in this ancient hill temple. On 19 April 1992 Bhagawan had visited and blessed this holy shrine at Tiruchengode. He had also laid the foundation stone for the Sathya Sai Mandir which is situated at the foot of the hill.

Sangabhishekam is a ceremony in which abhishekam (or bathing the idol) is performed using conches. And as the name suggests, 108 conches were used in this ceremony. We present to you some images of that festive happening.

Aradhana Sadhana - The Month of ‘Giving and Forgiving.'

As we celebrate this month of 'Giving and Forgiving', let us strive to give a little more of our time and an ounce more of our energies to bring happiness to a despondent soul. Let us forgive those whom we thought we would never forgive, so we may give them space and time to learn and improve. When our Lord forgives us a million times, do not those who have wronged us deserve our patience and forbearance?

Let this be a festive month of 'Giving and Forgiving' and one way we all can do that is by sharing with each other our inspiration, learning and pure joy.

When swami was asked not to visit the Sai Mandir in Tgode as a reason of no security HIS reply was "Why I need securities to visit MY OWN PLACE"(Tiruchengode is the abode of Lord Arthanariswarar - Swami's form also Arthanariswara)
