The feast is called by the name "Parappukkara Lona Muthapan Thirunal". The Feast-Celebration in the church is of a few days from May 6th to May 23rd. Important days of the feast are 6, 14, 15, 16, 23. "കൂട്തുറക്കല്" and other celebrations on 15th are very important. By the evening Elephants are sometimes brought to the Church to increase the solemnity of the feast. Illuminated 'തേര്' is taken in
procession on the same evening. Important feast is on 16th, Solemn High Mass, Homily and "THIRUNAL-PROCESSION" are on 16th. “ഊട്ടു തിരുനാള്" on 23rd is also of more importance. The devotees throng after because of the experience "who ever calls upon the Saint in the favorite name "ലോനാ മുത്തപ്പന്" will be answered. "വിളിച്ചാല് വിളിപ്പുറത്ത്". The Catholic Church celebrates the feast on 16th May. The Feast is celebrated at Parappukkara on 16th May. The legend is that fireworks are given importance for the feast of the Saint, Since his body was found through lightening when he was martyred in the river. Offerings of fireworks are done by the devotees. Believers of other religions too call upon the Saint and make pious offerings. Novenas on Tuesdays of the year and special celebration on 16th of every month are some of the pious offer of the devotees.
