Kumarapuram Sree Bala Subramanya Swami Temple Established in the late 19th century sree bala subramanya temple is one of the ancient temples of South India.

Sree Subramanya Swamy Temple is situated at Kumarapuram, 5km from Thiruvananthapuram. The presiding deity is Lord Subramanya .The temple holds one annual festival namely the Aaratu kaavadi mahotsav.The 10days long festival commences with kodiyettom and ends with 'kaavadi' and ‘Arattu. The main event of the festival is Kavadi Aattam, a ritual dance carrying Kavadis. The nearest railway station is Thiruvananthapuram Central Railway Station.
