Jayapataka Swami is at ISKCON Coimbatore. Here are some photos of Guru Maharaj's arrival at Coimbatore and a lecture that he delivered at the temple. ISKCON Coimbatore had organised a ISKCON 50 program that was graced by Guru Maharaj ,Padmashri G.Bakthavathsalam, Bhakti Vinodh Swami and other dignitaries, devotees and well wishers. The program was conducted at the Anapurna Hotel.Apparently ISKCON Coimbatore had it's humble beginning right in front of this Hotel.
Padmashri Bakthavathsalam is the owner and director of K.G.Hospitals that has treated close to 4.5 million people. He is well known for his social work and support to the needy.In his address to the audience, he spoke about the glories of Srila Prabhupada and all the good work ISKCON is doing. He said that ISKCON is trying to make everyone happy by giving Krishna to everyone.He spoke about the glories of the Holy Name and made the audience chant along wiht him. He also requested everyone to contribute towards the construction of the TOVP and ISKCON Coimbatore's project. He also spoke about his association with Guru Maharaj and spoke about the very inspiring person Guru Maharaj is. Guru Maharaj's friendship with Dr.Bakthavatsalam is rather a long one. Interestingly in KG Hospital , the Mahamantra is always played, by the mercy of Srila Prabhupada and Dr.Bakthavatsalam.
Guru Maharaj addressed the audience as well."This Hare Krishna Mahammantra is the cure for the disease of Kali Yuga", he said. He urged everybody present to chant the Holy Names and worship Krishna.
Later in the evening, International devotees performed a traditional Bharathnatyam Dance and led ecstatic Kirtan. The audience was totally thrilled with the Mahamantra and devotees danced with great Joy. Guru Maharaj danced along with the devotees and it was quite a sight to see.
