There are a thousand and thousand ways to help the poor people.
First try to make them aware of their dignity.
Second talk to them in a manner worthy of human persons
Third given them an opportunity to frequent good institutions/schools
Fourth be friendly and kind
Fifth don't just give them things, bur teach them to fish, o do, to go ahead.
