The highly worshipped Nagarukavu Temple of Poojappura stands one among the prime most temples of its kind. Hence, importance is given to Shiva worship.

It is believed to be having a holy history of two and a half centuries or more. The present temple had been once an altar with its several shrines and densely covered forests. As days pass on the temple acquires more and more sanctity and divinity but by the power of godly entities. Its important deities are ‘Nagaraja’, ‘Nagaramma’ and ‘Nagakanya’. The fact is that Sree Vasuki, supposed to be the

personification of the power of the Lord Shiva, is worshipped as the Nagaraja. In addition, the Nagaramma, Nagakanya and the Nagaraja bless the devotees who come on the holy threshold of the Sanctum - Sanctorum. They are truly the Gods who provide good and loving children, progress and fortune and are easily propetiated.

Shanaiswara Homam on 11-04-26 (Saturday) at 9.00am. Those who started homam from 2025 May (Sl No: 741 to 751) will be completed. These Devotees must submit the coins received with each month prasadam in the Uruli(bronze vessel) placed in front of Navagrahas. The Yanthram will be issued after the homam by the Melshanthi only.

ശനൈശ്വര ഹോമം 11-04-26 (ശനിയാഴ്ച) രാവിലെ 9 മണിക്ക് ആരംഭിക്കും. 2025 മെയ്‌ മാസത്തിൽ ആരംഭിച്ചവരുടെ ഹോമം(സീരിയൽ നമ്പർ: 741 മുതൽ 751 വരെ) ഈ മാസത്തോടെ പൂർത്തിയാകും. അവരുടെ ശനൈശ്വര യന്ത്രം ഹോമത്തിനു ശേഷം ലഭിക്കും. ഹോമം പൂർത്തിയാകുന്നവർ എല്ലാ മാസവും പ്രസാദത്തിനൊപ്പം ലഭിച്ച നാണയത്തുട്ടുകൾ ശനീശ്വരന് മുൻപ്പിൽ വച്ചിട്ടുള്ള ഉരുളിയിൽ സമർപ്പിക്കാനായി കൊണ്ട് വരേണ്ടതാണ്. യന്ത്രം മേൽശാന്തിയിൽ നിന്ന് നേരിട്ട് മാത്രമേ ലഭിക്കുകയുള്ളു..
