YUVA: Celebrating the Triumph of Arts and Sports
After enduring the challenging times of the COVID-19 pandemic, we Thekkan Parumala St. Gregorios Orthodox Christian Youth Movement (TPSGOCYM) proudly present YUVA, our highly anticipated Arts and Sports Fest. Commencing in August 2023, YUVA promises to be a vibrant celebration of talent, resilience, and the indomitable spirit of youth. This exciting event will showcase a diverse range of artistic expressions, from captivating performances in music, and literature. Simultaneously, sports enthusiasts will engage in thrilling competitions that will ignite the competitive spirit and promote physical well-being. YUVA will serve as a testament to the power of creativity, collaboration, and unity, reminding us of our remarkable resilience. Kanivu meaning kindness is a noble initiative through the youth movement of Thekkan Parumala St. Gregorios Church. The kindness here is not just to showcase an act of charity or goodwill, this wing is committed to bringing the youth of our church society together for a noble cause. In our hectic day-to-day lives filled with education or career schedules, we may all be doing our bit for society through our institutions and organizations; you coming together as one unit of our church for a noble cause and spending time together is in itself our share of the tenth in terms of our lives (in the form of time and actions) spent towards the church. On 11 March, the TPSGOYM team of about 7 members led by the Vicars reached RCC by noon to provide lunch to the patients and bystanders. In this period of lent, this is our small gesture to make a difference in the life of at least one person in need. It could be the one who received the food packet or the one who was giving.. our prayers that this act of ours is accepted in His loving kindness.
