Apostles' Lent – Day 12

St. Matthias reminds us that God faithfully calls and equips those who are willing to serve Him. Chosen to take the place of Judas among the Twelve, he devoted his life to proclaiming the Gospel with courage, enduring persecution, and remaining faithful to Christ until the end.

May the example of St. Matthias inspire us to answer God's call with humility, persevere through every trial, and bear witness to Christ wherever He leads us.

Apostles' Lent – Day 10

St. Thaddeus (St. Jude) faithfully proclaimed the Gospel across Mesopotamia, Arabia, Idumea, and Syria, dedicating his life to making Christ known. Though little is recorded about his ministry, his unwavering devotion, inspired Epistle, and faithful witness unto martyrdom continue to strengthen the Church.

May the example of St. Thaddeus inspire us to remain steadfast in faith, bold in proclaiming the Gospel, and faithful to Christ in every circumstance.

Apostles' Lent – Day 9

Though little is recorded about the life of St. James the Lesser, his faithful service speaks volumes. After Pentecost, he devoted himself to proclaiming the Gospel, healing the sick, and leading many to Christ. His quiet yet steadfast witness reminds us that God often works powerfully through humble and faithful servants.

May we, like St. James the Lesser, serve Christ with humility, persevere in faith, and remain steadfast in our witness to the Gospel.

Apostles' Lent – Day 8

St. Matthew's life is a powerful testimony to the transforming grace of Christ. Called from the tax collector's table to become an Apostle and Evangelist, he left everything behind to follow the Lord. Through his faithful preaching, countless lives were changed, and even the heart of his persecutor was transformed by the power of the Gospel.

May the example of St. Matthew inspire us to respond wholeheartedly to Christ's call and to trust that His grace can transform every heart.

With grateful hearts, we thank Almighty God for the blessed gift of our spiritual father, Moran Mor Dr. Samuel Theophilus Metropolitan, as we commemorate the Second Anniversary of his Enthronement.

Over these two years, the Lord has graciously strengthened His Holiness to shepherd the Holy Church with wisdom, humility, steadfast faith, and unwavering dedication, enabling him to carry the mantle of apostolic leadership while guiding the faithful in prayer, spiritual discipline, apostolic mission, and compassionate service.

As we give thanks for God's abundant mercy and faithfulness, let us continue to uphold our beloved Metropolitan Father in our prayers, asking the Lord to crown his years with grace, grant him strength and good health, and sustain him in carrying the apostolic mission of the Holy Church for many years to come.

Apostles' Lent – Day 5

The first words Jesus spoke to Philip were, "Follow Me." Philip responded without hesitation and spent the rest of his life inviting others to encounter Christ. Through miracles, persecution, and ultimately martyrdom, he remained a fearless witness to the Gospel.

May God grant us the same courage to follow Christ and share His love with the world. St. Philip the Evangelist, pray for us.

St. John the Beloved teaches us that true greatness is found in abiding in Christ. Though he endured exile, persecution, and suffering, he remained faithful to the end, proclaiming the love and truth of the Gospel.

May we, like St. John, remain steadfast in faith and grow ever deeper in the love of Christ.
