Jesus is the real “vine", The one and only final vine. Christ (true vine) the Mediator between man (branches) and God (the vinedresser).

Those in Christ have been sanctified, washed clean from sin. Once we were dead in sin but through Christ atonement now working through the word are made whole.

No branch (person) that is in Christ can be wholly fruitless. But people that belong to Christ will bear fruit, and undergo the pruning necessary to increase. The lack of fruit is failure to be obedient to God and His commands.

Christ’s command to love in this chapter, indicate that “fruit” refers to a Christ-like life produced by the Holy Spirit and not numbers of people. It is the fruit of the spirit (love, joy peace...) evident in our lives that shows we bear fruit.

Since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Romans 5:1
This is not like the peace the world gives us, which is fleeting.
Many often feel, if I had a better job, that marriage, little more money, looked better, was higher up in society, or had a better degree, I would be so much happier and find peace.
Many often strive and work hard and reach their goals only to see that they lack peace and are worried about many other problems or they simply end up wanting more.
The peace that God gives us on the other hand is eternal. This can never be robbed neither death nor demons nor angels can take this away.
The peace that Christ gives us helps us stands firm through the trials and troubles and hardships of the world.
This peace does not come from what we have done but what Christ has done for us on the cross. Therefore it stands secure in what He has done for us.
