‘Covenant Blessings Church’ (CBC) formerly known as ‘The Little Flock Church’ was founded on 12th July 1981 by late Pastor J. Nap D’Souza. The church began with a small group of eight believers in Bandra, Mumbai. This grew to a congregation of about 70 people from a mainly middle-class, English speaking background. In 1992 the congregation divided into 3 regional congregations – Bandra, Vasai and Thane.
1994 brought about a paradigm shift in its outlook resulting in a change of approach towards the community. Christmas 1995 saw this being established as the name was changed to Covenant Blessings Church. A new vision was embraced of ‘knowing God and His covenant and becoming a channel of His blessings to all nations’. In 1996, care to the poor commenced.
Pastor J. Nap D’Souza went to be with the Lord in 1997 and the mantle of leadership fell upon Basil D’Souza. About this time, CBC began to host ‘Schools of Ministries’, a training initiative for Christian leaders, workers and aspiring leaders. Launched in Mumbai, it has now spread to many cities in India.
In 2005 CBC launched International Leadership Connections (ILC) with a vision to ‘connect leaders globally to see transformation’. ILC hosts conferences nation-wide where leaders and pastors are trained and equipped.
