नरसिंह चतुर्दशी भगवान् श्री नरसिंहदेव के अवतरण का अत्यन्त पावन दिवस है। वे भगवान् श्रीकृष्ण के अर्ध-मानव, अर्ध-सिंह स्वरूप हैं, जो स्तम्भ से प्रकट होकर अपने परम भक्त प्रह्लाद महाराज की रक्षा करने तथा दैत्यराज हिरण्यकशिपु का संहार करने के लिए प्रकट हुए।

इस पावन तिथि पर भक्तगण प्रभु की दिव्य लीलाओं, उनकी अद्भुत करुणा तथा इस अटल आश्वासन का स्मरण करते हैं कि भगवान् सदैव अपने शरणागत भक्तों की रक्षा करते हैं।

इस शुभ दिन सुदामा जी ने द्वारका में श्रीकृष्ण को प्रेमपूर्वक चिवड़े का छोटा सा उपहार अर्पित किया। बदले में उनकी साधारण झोपड़ी सोने-रत्नों से सजे भव्य महल बन गई, जो सूर्य-चंद्र की किरणों सा चमक उठी (श्रीमद्भागवत 10.81)।

On the occasion of the new academic session at GIC Paurikhal, New Tehri Garhwal, school authorities graciously invited devotees from ISKCON Srinagar to deliver an inspiring talk on moral values drawn from the teachings of Srimad Bhagavad Gita and Bhagavatam. Over 50 school students and 6 faculty members attended the program with great enthusiasm.
The attendees also received copies of the Bhagavad Gita and joyfully participated in kirtan.
