Baba Shukur Din(ra)

Baba Shukur Din(ra) Baba Shukurin(RA) was a sufi saint of Kashmir. His(RA) shrine is located over the top of Sheer Kot Hills at Watlab Baramulla.

Born at arith pargana machhama district budgam in 790 .AR PER THE CALENDAR SHUKUR WAS A Religous person and a hard worker as he grew up he came under influence of two pious people he traced out one of them sheikh noor ud din wali at charar e sharif who sent him to ashmuqam islambad where he met hazrat zainudin reshi(ra)

from whom he received spritual knowledge after a few years he was told to go to sharkot and meditate there .Here the peer baba assisted the locals and performed miracles as his fame grew people from all religions flocked to him for help and spiritual guidance. Baba reshi(RA) of tangmarg gulmarg fame was once his assistant and impressed by his services .Baba shukurdin blessed and settled him in tangmarg .In 870 hijri the baba(RA) dug a grave for himself and stepped into it .

This Gate(Wooden) Is Hundreds Of Years Old.
