Made of clay, the structure continues to hold the initial form.

प्रचंडं प्रकृष्टं प्रगल्भं परेशं। अखंडं अजं भानुकोटिप्रकाशं।।
त्रयःशूल निर्मूलनं शूलपाणिं। भजेऽहं भवानीपतिं भावगम्यं।।

जो उग्र और साहसी हैं, जो श्रेष्ठ और अखंड है, जो अजन्मे हैं, जो सहस्त्र सूर्य के सामान प्रकाशवान हैं, जो त्रिशूल रखते है, जिनका कोई मूल नहीं हैं, जिनमे किसी भी असुर का नाश करने की शक्ति हैं, जो त्रिशूल धारण करके त्रिविध दुखों की जड़ को फाड़ देते हैं, और जो प्रेम से ही प्राप्त होता है, उन्हें मैं नमन करता हूँ।

Happy International Meditation Day 🧘‍♂️

“Nandi Meditation”

Nandi meditation refers to embodying the qualities of Nandi, the sacred bull and vehicle of Lord Shiva, as a blueprint for true meditativeness.

Rather than an "activity" to be performed, it is a state of being characterized by eternal waiting, active alertness, and absolute receptivity.

Eternal Waiting:
Nandi symbolizes waiting without anticipation or expectation.
He is not waiting for Shiva to wake up or give him something; he is simply "in waiting" as a virtue of patience.

Active Alertness:
Unlike a passive or sleepy state, Nandi is depicted as fully alive and intensely alert. This signifies that meditation is a state of heightened awareness rather than a trance-like withdrawal.

Listening Over Talking:
While prayer is often seen as "talking to God," Nandi meditation is defined as "listening to existence". It is the willingness to be silent and receptive to the ultimate nature of creation.

Essence of Receptivity: Nandi faces the shrine in Hindu temples to remind devotees to drop their personal desires and simply sit with receptivity before entering the sacred space.

One-Pointed Focus:

स्फुरन्मौलि कल्लोलिनी चारु गंगा। लसद्भालबालेन्दु कंठे भुजंगा।

जिनका रूप अडिग हिमालय की बर्फ के समान श्वेत है, जिनका मुख कामदेव की सुंदरता से दीप्तिमान हैं, जो गहन चिंतन में हैं, जिनके मस्तक पर तेज हैं, जिनकी जटाओ से गंगा नदी बहती है, जिनके ललाट पर चमकता हुआ चाँद है और जिनके गले में सर्प का वास हैं, ऐसे भयावह रूप के सामने मै नतमस्तक हूँ।

जिनका कोई आकार नहीं है, जो ॐ से उत्पन्न हुए हो, जो पर्वत के वासी है, जो वाणी, ज्ञान और इन्द्रियों से परे है, जिनका रूप भयावह है।
