Today's Hukamnama at Gurdwara Baru Sahib (Ang: 771-772)
ਸੂਹੀ ਮਹਲਾ ੩ ॥
सूही महला ३ ॥
Sūhī mėhlā 3.
Soohee, Third Mehl:
ਜੇ ਲੋੜਹਿ ਵਰੁ ਬਾਲੜੀਏ ਤਾ ਗੁਰ ਚਰਣੀ ਚਿਤੁ ਲਾਏ ਰਾਮ ॥
जे लोड़हि वरु बालड़ीए ता गुर चरणी चितु लाए राम ॥
Je loṛėh var bālṛī▫e ṯā gur cẖarṇī cẖiṯ lā▫e rām.
If you long for your Husband Lord, O young and innocent bride, then focus your consciousness on the Guru's feet.
ਸਦਾ ਹੋਵਹਿ ਸੋਹਾਗਣੀ ਹਰਿ ਜੀਉ ਮਰੈ ਨ ਜਾਏ ਰਾਮ ॥
सदा होवहि सोहागणी हरि जीउ मरै न जाए राम ॥
Saḏā hovėh sohāgaṇī har jī▫o marai na jā▫e rām.
You shall be a happy soul bride of your Dear Lord forever; He does not die or leave.
ਹਰਿ ਜੀਉ ਮਰੈ ਨ ਜਾਏ ਗੁਰ ਕੈ ਸਹਜਿ ਸੁਭਾਏ ਸਾ ਧਨ ਕੰਤ ਪਿਆਰੀ ॥
हरि जीउ मरै न जाए गुर कै सहजि सुभाए सा धन कंत पिआरी ॥
Har jī▫o marai na jā▫e gur kai sahj subẖā▫e sā ḏẖan kanṯ pi▫ārī.
The Dear Lord does not die, and He does not leave; through the peaceful poise of the Guru, the soul bride becomes the lover of her Husband Lord.
ਸਚਿ ਸੰਜਮਿ ਸਦਾ ਹੈ ਨਿਰਮਲ ਗੁਰ ਕੈ ਸਬਦਿ ਸੀਗਾਰੀ ॥
सचि संजमि सदा है निरमल गुर कै सबदि सीगारी ॥
Sacẖ sanjam saḏā hai nirmal gur kai sabaḏ sīgārī.
Through truth and self-control, she is forever immaculate and pure; she is embellished with the Word of the Guru's Shabad.
ਮੇਰਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਸਾਚਾ ਸਦ ਹੀ ਸਾਚਾ ਜਿਨਿ ਆਪੇ ਆਪੁ ਉਪਾਇਆ ॥
मेरा प्रभु साचा सद ही साचा जिनि आपे आपु उपाइआ ॥
Merā parabẖ sācẖā saḏ hī sācẖā jin āpe āp upā▫i▫ā.
My God is True, forever and ever; He Himself created Himself.
ਨਾਨਕ ਸਦਾ ਪਿਰੁ ਰਾਵੇ ਆਪਣਾ ਜਿਨਿ ਗੁਰ ਚਰਣੀ ਚਿਤੁ ਲਾਇਆ ॥੧॥
नानक सदा पिरु रावे आपणा जिनि गुर चरणी चितु लाइआ ॥१॥
Nānak saḏā pir rāve āpṇā jin gur cẖarṇī cẖiṯ lā▫i▫ā. ||1||
O Nanak, she who focuses her consciousness on the Guru's feet, enjoys her Husband Lord. ||1||
ਪਿਰੁ ਪਾਇਅੜਾ ਬਾਲੜੀਏ ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਸਹਜੇ ਮਾਤੀ ਰਾਮ ॥
पिरु पाइअड़ा बालड़ीए अनदिनु सहजे माती राम ॥
Pir pā▫i▫aṛā bālṛī▫e an▫ḏin sėhje māṯī rām.
When the young, innocent bride finds her Husband Lord, she is automatically intoxicated with Him, night and day.
ਗੁਰਮਤੀ ਮਨਿ ਅਨਦੁ ਭਇਆ ਤਿਤੁ ਤਨਿ ਮੈਲੁ ਨ ਰਾਤੀ ਰਾਮ ॥
गुरमती मनि अनदु भइआ तितु तनि मैलु न राती राम ॥
Gurmaṯī man anaḏ bẖa▫i▫ā ṯiṯ ṯan mail na rāṯī rām.
Through the Word of the Guru's Teachings, her mind becomes blissful, and her body is not tinged with filth at all.
ਤਿਤੁ ਤਨਿ ਮੈਲੁ ਨ ਰਾਤੀ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭਿ ਰਾਤੀ ਮੇਰਾ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਮੇਲਿ ਮਿਲਾਏ ॥
तितु तनि मैलु न राती हरि प्रभि राती मेरा प्रभु मेलि मिलाए ॥
Ŧiṯ ṯan mail na rāṯī har parabẖ rāṯī merā parabẖ mel milā▫e.
Her body is not tinged with filth at all, and she is imbued with her Lord God; my God unites her in Union.
ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਰਾਵੇ ਹਰਿ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਅਪਣਾ ਵਿਚਹੁ ਆਪੁ ਗਵਾਏ ॥
अनदिनु रावे हरि प्रभु अपणा विचहु आपु गवाए ॥
An▫ḏin rāve har parabẖ apṇā vicẖahu āp gavā▫e.
Night and day, she enjoys her Lord God; her egotism is banished from within.
ਗੁਰਮਤਿ ਪਾਇਆ ਸਹਜਿ ਮਿਲਾਇਆ ਅਪਣੇ ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮ ਰਾਤੀ ॥
गुरमति पाइआ सहजि मिलाइआ अपणे प्रीतम राती ॥
Gurmaṯ pā▫i▫ā sahj milā▫i▫ā apṇe parīṯam rāṯī.
Through the Guru's Teachings, she easily finds and meets Him. She is imbued with her Beloved.
ਨਾਨਕ ਨਾਮੁ ਮਿਲੈ ਵਡਿਆਈ ਪ੍ਰਭੁ ਰਾਵੇ ਰੰਗਿ ਰਾਤੀ ॥੨॥
नानक नामु मिलै वडिआई प्रभु रावे रंगि राती ॥२॥
Nānak nām milai vadi▫ā▫ī parabẖ rāve rang rāṯī. ||2||
O Nanak, through the Naam, the Name of the Lord, she obtains glorious greatness. She ravishes and enjoys her God; she is imbued with His Love. ||2||
ਪਿਰੁ ਰਾਵੇ ਰੰਗਿ ਰਾਤੜੀਏ ਪਿਰ ਕਾ ਮਹਲੁ ਤਿਨ ਪਾਇਆ ਰਾਮ ॥
पिरु रावे रंगि रातड़ीए पिर का महलु तिन पाइआ राम ॥
Pir rāve rang rāṯ▫ṛī▫e pir kā mahal ṯin pā▫i▫ā rām.
Ravishing her Husband Lord, she is imbued with His Love; she obtains the Mansion of His Presence.
ਸੋ ਸਹੋ ਅਤਿ ਨਿਰਮਲੁ ਦਾਤਾ ਜਿਨਿ ਵਿਚਹੁ ਆਪੁ ਗਵਾਇਆ ਰਾਮ ॥
सो सहो अति निरमलु दाता जिनि विचहु आपु गवाइआ राम ॥
So saho aṯ nirmal ḏāṯā jin vicẖahu āp gavā▫i▫ā rām.
She is utterly immaculate and pure; the Great Giver banishes self-conceit from within her.
ਵਿਚਹੁ ਮੋਹੁ ਚੁਕਾਇਆ ਜਾ ਹਰਿ ਭਾਇਆ ਹਰਿ ਕਾਮਣਿ ਮਨਿ ਭਾਣੀ ॥
विचहु मोहु चुकाइआ जा हरि भाइआ हरि कामणि मनि भाणी ॥
vicẖahu moh cẖukā▫i▫ā jā har bẖā▫i▫ā har kāmaṇ man bẖāṇī.
The Lord drives out attachment from within her, when it pleases Him. The soul bride becomes pleasing to the Lord's Mind.
ਅਨਦਿਨੁ ਗੁਣ ਗਾਵੈ ਨਿਤ ਸਾਚੇ ਕਥੇ ਅਕਥ ਕਹਾਣੀ ॥
अनदिनु गुण गावै नित साचे कथे अकथ कहाणी ॥
An▫ḏin guṇ gāvai niṯ sācẖe kathe akath kahāṇī.
Night and day, she continually sings the Glorious Praises of the True Lord; she speaks the Unspoken Speech.
ਜੁਗ ਚਾਰੇ ਸਾਚਾ ਏਕੋ ਵਰਤੈ ਬਿਨੁ ਗੁਰ ਕਿਨੈ ਨ ਪਾਇਆ ॥
जुग चारे साचा एको वरतै बिनु गुर किनै न पाइआ ॥
Jug cẖāre sācẖā eko varṯai bin gur kinai na pā▫i▫ā.
Throughout the four ages, the One True Lord is permeating and pervading; without the Guru, no one finds Him.
ਨਾਨਕ ਰੰਗਿ ਰਵੈ ਰੰਗਿ ਰਾਤੀ ਜਿਨਿ ਹਰਿ ਸੇਤੀ ਚਿਤੁ ਲਾਇਆ ॥੩॥
नानक रंगि रवै रंगि राती जिनि हरि सेती चितु लाइआ ॥३॥
Nānak rang ravai rang rāṯī jin har seṯī cẖiṯ lā▫i▫ā. ||3||
O Nanak, she revels in joy, imbued with His Love; she focuses her consciousness on the Lord. ||3||
ਕਾਮਣਿ ਮਨਿ ਸੋਹਿਲੜਾ ਸਾਜਨ ਮਿਲੇ ਪਿਆਰੇ ਰਾਮ ॥
कामणि मनि सोहिलड़ा साजन मिले पिआरे राम ॥
Kāmaṇ man sohilṛā sājan mile pi▫āre rām.
The mind of the soul bride is very happy, when she meets her Friend, her Beloved Lord.
ਗੁਰਮਤੀ ਮਨੁ ਨਿਰਮਲੁ ਹੋਆ ਹਰਿ ਰਾਖਿਆ ਉਰਿ ਧਾਰੇ ਰਾਮ ॥
गुरमती मनु निरमलु होआ हरि राखिआ उरि धारे राम ॥
Gurmaṯī man nirmal ho▫ā har rākẖi▫ā ur ḏẖāre rām.
Through the Guru's Teachings, her mind becomes immaculate; she enshrines the Lord within her heart.
ਹਰਿ ਰਾਖਿਆ ਉਰਿ ਧਾਰੇ ਅਪਨਾ ਕਾਰਜੁ ਸਵਾਰੇ ਗੁਰਮਤੀ ਹਰਿ ਜਾਤਾ ॥
हरि राखिआ उरि धारे अपना कारजु सवारे गुरमती हरि जाता ॥
Har rākẖi▫ā ur ḏẖāre apnā kāraj savāre gurmaṯī har jāṯā.
Keeping the Lord enshrined within her heart, her affairs are arranged and resolved; through the Guru's Teachings, she knows her Lord.
ਪ੍ਰੀਤਮਿ ਮੋਹਿ ਲਇਆ ਮਨੁ ਮੇਰਾ ਪਾਇਆ ਕਰਮ ਬਿਧਾਤਾ ॥
प्रीतमि मोहि लइआ मनु मेरा पाइआ करम बिधाता ॥
Parīṯam mohi la▫i▫ā man merā pā▫i▫ā karam biḏẖāṯā.
My Beloved has enticed my mind; I have obtained the Lord, the Architect of Destiny.
ਸਤਿਗੁਰੁ ਸੇਵਿ ਸਦਾ ਸੁਖੁ ਪਾਇਆ ਹਰਿ ਵਸਿਆ ਮੰਨਿ ਮੁਰਾਰੇ ॥
सतिगुरु सेवि सदा सुखु पाइआ हरि वसिआ मंनि मुरारे ॥
Saṯgur sev saḏā sukẖ pā▫i▫ā har vasi▫ā man murāre.
Serving the True Guru, she finds lasting peace; the Lord, the Destroyer of pride, dwells in her mind.
ਨਾਨਕ ਮੇਲਿ ਲਈ ਗੁਰਿ ਅਪੁਨੈ ਗੁਰ ਕੈ ਸਬਦਿ ਸਵਾਰੇ ॥੪॥੫॥੬॥
नानक मेलि लई गुरि अपुनै गुर कै सबदि सवारे ॥४॥५॥६॥
Nānak mel la▫ī gur apunai gur kai sabaḏ savāre. ||4||5||6||
O Nanak, she merges with her Guru, embellished and adorned with the Word of the Guru's Shabad. ||4||5||6||
