This afternoon Dorje Drak monastery marked the preliminary ceremony for releasing Summer Retreat Rules (conclusion of the 2026 Summer Retreat Yarne). Highlights included the Jorcho ritual, a talk on ethics by Lama Thubten Yeshe, student debates, and awards for top scholars in exposition, debate, and composition during Summer retreat! 🌸🙏

Today, on the 25th day of the seventh Tibetan lunar month the auspicious Dakini Day a memorial prayer and offering ceremony was held to honor the late Venerable Khen Rinpoche Sonam Tashi.
In accordance with the noble wishes of His Holiness Kyabje Taklung Tsetrul Rinpoche, Venerable Khen Rinpoche served for many years as the principal of the Dorje Drak Shedra (Nyingma Higher Institute Thubten Lungtok Shedup Phende Ling). Out of deep gratitude for his immensely gracious teaching of the Sutras, Tantras, and traditional fields of knowledge, the monastic community conducted a Tsog offering ritual based on the practice of Sangdrub Drakpo Tsal.
