🪻Being acknowledged for the part you played in someone’s beginning carries a quiet kind of joy.

👉🏽 Grateful to Kima Hmar for this acknowledgment and for trusting me in those early conversations as was taking its first steps in South Africa.
To have contributed a bit of thought to the brand name “Swadgatam,” and now to witness what it is becoming, is deeply rewarding.

👨🏽‍🍳 What Kima is building through Swadgatam is meaningful... creating spaces of connection, culture, and belonging through food.

Honoured to have played a small part in its story.

🌸 Want to make your mother feel special this Mother’s Day?

Here are a few thoughts from mothers sharing what honour looks like to them… ☕🤍

And if you are a mother,
how would you want to be honoured? 🌷

🌸 Mother’s Day is around the corner…

💫 If you are someone celebrating a mother this year…perhaps this reel gives you a perspective beyond flowers, gifts, and posts.

👉🏼 A few mothers shared that what truly makes them feel honoured are often found in ordinary moments, in the quiet consistency of everyday PRESENCE.

🪻 If you are a mother, share this on your wall… maybe it helps you and someone else pause, reflect, and think about what being honoured truly looks like….

✅ Sharing a client’s story on how an internalized belief was shaping her leadership…
She’s a competent leader.Still… she hesitated to delegate.
From the outside, it looked like a communication gap. But the root was something else:
“Don’t tell the elders what to do.”
“Don’t direct men.”

She grew up with this messaging. And it didn’t stay at home… it followed her into the workplace.
So even with capability, something kept holding her back from fully stepping into her role.

☑️ That’s what internalized beliefs do.
Ideas we absorb early on, repeat over time, and eventually treat like truth.

We don’t question them. We act from them.

“Respect means staying quiet.”
“Others come first.”
“It’s not my place to lead.”

They stay hidden… until a situation demands otherwise. And then they quietly decide how we show up.

In our work:
👉🏼 we slowed this down
👉🏼 noticed the belief
👉🏼 questioned it
👉🏼 practiced a different response

Over time, she started taking her space
and is leading with more clarity.

✅And here’s a question for you:

What’s one belief you’ve been following
without ever questioning it?

✨ Sharing my first interview as a guest speaker on women’s emotional well-being with Doordarshan Meghalaya, in conversation with Dr. Moushumi Chakraborty.

🌱 I’m still learning and growing in this space, but I’m grateful I showed up and said yes.

🌸 Hope this conversation helps us pause and reflect a little more on the emotional lives and well-being of women.

✅ Would love for you to watch, share your thoughts in the comments, and pass it on if it resonates.

🌿 For Miranda, the day might end with quiet time and journaling. For Geeta, it might end with chopping vegetables for the next day - needing just a little silence and no interruptions. Both need care, but the shape of that CARE looks very different.

🤝 This blog post reflects on how the idea of “self-care” is often framed in today’s economy - equated with spa days, skincare routines, vacations, and curated calm. While these aren’t wrong, they can slowly turn care into a LUXURY and an individual achievement.

💬 In cultures like ours, care is not something we accomplish alone. It is deeply relational, shaped within families, communities, shared responsibilities, and shared rhythms. Emotional well-being is not just a personal project – it is something we hold together.
Self-care becomes “we-care” (shared care)

🌱 Do read, and feel free to share your thoughts, reflections, and personal experiences. You may want to pass it on to a friend too.

✨ Let’s be people who engage in conversations that truly matter.

The Dilemma of Self-Care in Our Society The word self-care often sounds like a hoax. “What self-care?” someone asks. “That’s a Western thing,” another says. Social media, meanwhile, is full of advice. Do’s and don’ts. Reminders that you cannot pour from an empty cup. Counter-reminders ...

✅ "Trust the process" is something I often hear, and something I often find myself saying, especially when I step into unfamiliar terrains, trying to learn and bring back what I can to share with others, and the journey sometimes feels like things just don’t add up.

🎨 In moments like these, watching this painting come alive reminded me to keep my eyes on the goal, to accept that failure, disappointment, and setbacks are part of the journey, and still choose to be unafraid, to not lose hope, and to begin again… even a hundred times if needed.
🌱 All of it is worth it, because it is shaping me into who I am becoming.

💜 These are my thoughts.

👉🏼 What does it mean for you to “trust your process”?

😊 It has been an absolute joy for me to run Chautari Life Coaching.

Not just because I get to hear people’s stories, but because I get invited into the parts of their lives that rarely make it to the surface. The quiet questions. The hidden battles. The courage it takes to keep going.

🏡 "Chautari" in Nepali means a resting place along a journey.
And Chautari Life Coaching (CLC) is that space – to pause, unburden, and find direction again.

💫 When I first began, as a coach I thought I knew a few things. But the more I listened, the more I realized how little I understood what people carry – stories of falling and rising, of fighting, losing, winning, and still choosing to hope.

💜 After walking with so many women, the greatest gift has been witnessing their journeys.

✅ I love life coaching because it gives people AGENCY.
It asks gently:
-What do you want?
-Who are you becoming?
-What matters the most to you?

Without shrinking. Without burning out. Without living under expectations.

✨ At the core of it all is a deep human need-to be heard, seen, and understood.

👉🏼 If you, or someone you know, are longing for such a space, Chautari is here.

Come Rest. Reset. Reach.

😵‍💫 New Year | Old Realities.
Does life really become new when the calendar changes?

For some, the year brings visible shifts.
For others, old realities remain.

Last year’s grief, stress, and uncertainty don’t disappear on the 1st of January. They often walk into the new year with us.

The old is familiar, comfortable, and at times, even safe. It doesn’t shed automatically just because the year changes.

Change needs intention.
It needs readiness.

So this year, I’m choosing not to give in to the pressure of making everything new all at once.

✅ I’m allowing change through process and patience - not forcing myself to transition into a new stage of life where everything has to suddenly line up.
✅ I’m practicing small rhythms: prayer, contemplation, moments of pause - learning to live with more intention and presence.
✅ I’m learning to stay with my five senses - noticing what nature offers, and being present to the people around me.

Allowing change, not forcing it.

🌸 Patience. Practice. Presence.

👉🏼 How are you allowing change in this coming season?
Or where might the beginning of it be waiting quietly?

👉🏼 And if you need a space to slow down, reflect, or process without hurry - you’re welcome to DM me.
