Hyderabad Kalibari In the year 1972 few Bengali settlers who were mostly from Army and Railways had decided to set up a Temple of Goddess Kali in Vivekanandapuram, Sainikpuri.

The foundation Stone was laid on 11th August 1974. On 28th August 1976 the premises of Hyderabad Kalibari had been inaugurated and the idol of Goddess Kali was installed. In the year 1977 Hyderabad Kalibari was registered under the Public Society Act (Registration No. 459) thus making this unique organization a socio-cultural society for Bengali minority linguistic community. sh temple were also made later. Puja of the idols are performed thrice a day besides special pujas performed on Amavasya and Poornima. Durga Puja and Kali Puja celebrated in a grand way every year. Lakshmi Puja, Kali Puja, Saraswati Puja, Bengali New Year's Day and Rabindra Jayanti are also celebrated in the temple. Various cultural programs are organised during these celebrations. The Hyderabad Kalibari trust runs a charitable clinic in the premises and organises Polio vaccination camps. The trust donates school uniforms, stationary and food to a school in a slum area. Thus the Hyderabad Kalibari trust not only keeps the Bengali culture alive in the people living away from West Bengal but also helps the lower class of the society to come up.
