On May 19, 2026, the Drikung Kagyu Monastic School, Tso Pema, commenced its semi-annual examination under the guidance of the Education Department and the oversight of the Principal and faculty members. We extend our best wishes to the students for success in their exams and a well-deserved break thereafter.

As the world celebrated mothers across the globe, something heartwarming unfolded right here. The young monks organised a small yet beautiful surprise celebration at their home away from home, with Ashi Sonam Choedon la. With loving hands, they had prepared a homemade cake, handwritten cards, freshly plucked flowers, and a traditional white khatak. Their sweet and thoughtful gestures were heart touching and a reflection of the appreciation and love they carry in their hearts. During this joyful day, we wish all the mothers a very HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY 💐

On the 23rd of April, we had a joyful moment here in Wogmin Thupten Shedrubling as we hosted the opening ceremony of the newly constructed basketball half court for our young monks.The Vajra master hosted an auspicious prayer recitation which was followed by a ribbon cutting ceremony by Khando Tashi Dolma la. Thank you to everyone who made the event possible and a huge success.

On the auspicious occasion of the 90th birth anniversary of the Bodhisattva, the supreme refuge lord and eminent master of the Drikung Kagyu lineage, Garchen Rinpoche, we joyfully and reverently celebrate this sacred milestone. The occasion was commemorated at Drikung Kagyu Lho Lungkar Monastery, Wogmin Thubten Shedrub Ling, where a White Tara (Drolkar Yeshin Khorlo) ritual was conducted. Long-life prayers, along with extensive prayers of auspiciousness and dedication, were offered with deep devotion.
On this blessed day, we pray that Garchen Rinpoche may enjoy a long and stable life for hundreds of aeons, and that all his enlightened aspirations and noble activities be perfectly fulfilled for the benefit of all sentient beings.

At the branch monastery of Drikung Kagyu Lho Lungkar Gon Wogmin Thubten Shedrub Ling, located at Bir Settlement, Druzin Thegchok Ling, a commemorative offering (Parnirvana anniversary observance) for the great yogi Lord Milarepa and the forefather of the practice lineage, the great translator king Marpa Lotsawa, was held on the 14th and 15th days of the Miracle Month (Chotrul Dawa), March 2nd and 3rd.On this occasion, the monks of Wogmin Thubten Shedrub Ling performed a recitation gathering of the Kagyu Gur Tso (the collective Dohas of the Kagyu masters). In addition, through the practice of the Guru Sadhana of Jetsun Milarepa, a feast offering (tsok) celebration was conducted.Thus, by remembering and reflecting upon the life stories of the supreme forefathers of the Kagyu lineage, a share of merit was accumulated.

༈ འབྲི་གུང་བཀའ་བརྒྱུད་འོག་མིན་ཐུབ་བསྟན་བཤད་སྒྲུབ་གླིང་དགོན་དུ། བསྟན་འགྲོ་སྤྱི་དང་བྱེ་བྲག་གི་བདེ་རིམ་སླད། བོད་ཟླ་བཅུ་གཉིས་པའི་ཚེས་ཉེར་དགུའི་ཉིན་ལོ་ལྟར་ཉིན་ལྔའི་རིང་འཚོགས་པའི་འཇམ་དཔལ་གཤིན་རྗེ་ཚེ་བདག་གི་སྒྲུབ་མཆོད་བཀྲ་ཤིས་པའི་ངང་མཇུག་སྒྲིལ་བ་བྱུང་།

The annual five-day Yamantaka Drubcho was brought to a successful and auspicious conclusion on the 29th day of the 12th lunar month. Throughout these days, the sacred ritual was carried out with deep devotion, precise observance, and collective prayers, dedicated to the swift removal of obstacles and the flourishing of wisdom and compassion. The conclusion of the Yamantaka Drubcho marks the culmination of sustained spiritual effort and the accumulation of merit for the benefit of all beings.

Our school, The Drikung Kagyu Monastic school, led by the educational department successfully conducted the annual examinations for the monastery’s school section. With the exams now concluded, the students have begun their one-month vacation. The school session will resume on 03/03/2026, after which the examination results will be formally announced.
We wish all our students a restful and meaningful break.

For the past few weeks, Khandro Tashi Dolma la has been attending the Rinchen Terzod empowerment in Nepal, conferred by H.E. Kyabje Drubwang Sangye Nyenpa Rinpoche. On the auspicious occasion of the Parinirvana Anniversary of Kyabje Lho Ontul Rinpoche, Khandro la seized the opportunity to present a Mandala offering to His Eminence and to make offerings to hundreds of Sangha members, praying for the swift rebirth of Kyabje Lho Ontul Rinpoche.🙏🙏🌹🌹🪷
