మన తెలంగాణా రాష్ట్ర ముఖ్యమంత్రి శ్రీ కేసీఆర్ గారు క్రితం చేసిన పవర్ పాయింట్ ప్రజంటేషన్ మనందరికీ గుర్తున్నదే అయితే ఆ ప్రజంటేషన్లో మన ప్రగతీ ధర్మారం గ్రామానికి ఉన్న అవకాశాలను మీరూ గమనించే ఉంటారు. మన గ్రామానికి అతిదగ్గరగా వెళ్తున్న ప్రాజెక్ట్ పేరే 'కొమరవెల్లి మల్లన్న సాగర్ రిజర్వాయర్'. ఇది మనగ్రామం నుండి దాదాపు 40 కి.మీ. లోపే ఉండబోతోంది. 50 TMC తో నిర్మిచనున్న ఈ ప్రాజెక్ట్, తెలంగాణాలోనే అతిపెద్ద రిజర్వాయర్ అవబోతుంది. మన హుస్సేన్సాగర్ కి దాదాపు 50 రెట్లు ఈ రిజర్వాయర్ ఉండబోతుంది. ఇక్కడినుండే లిఫ్ట్ అవసరం లేకుండా ఉత్తర తెలంగాణా అంతా గోదావరి జలాలు వచ్చే అవకాశాలు పుష్కలంగా వుండటం విశేషం.
మన ప్రగతి ధర్మారం గ్రామం ఈ ప్రాజెక్ట్ కి సమీపం లో ఉండడమే కాకా రిజర్వాయర్ నుండి ఉత్తర తెలంగాణకు అనుకుంటున్న పెద్ద కాలువ మన గ్రామానికి అతిసమిపంలో వున్నటుగా ముఖ్యమంత్రి శ్రీ కేసీఆర్ గారి ప్రజంటేషన్ ద్వారా తెలుస్తోంది.

ఇన్ని సంవత్సరాలుగా మన గ్రామానికి గోదావరి జలాలు అన్న మాట ఉహకు కూడా అందని మాట వాస్తవమే! అయితే ఇప్పుడు అజలాలు మనకు అత్యంత సమీపంలోకి రావడంతో, ఆ జలాలు మన పోలాలోకి వచ్చే వస్తాయన్న ఆశలు చిగురిస్తున్నాయి! మన గ్రామ పౌరులు, నాయకుల నాయకత్వంలో ఇది తప్పకుండ త్వరలోనే జరుగుతుందని ఆశిద్దాం! వీడియో లింక్: https://youtu.be/wB1TXm-IFbA

Telangana Hon'ble CM Sri KCR made a power point presentation to the state legislative house, in that presentation KCR presented the irrigation plan for the state including the Kaleshwaram project (earlier Pranahitha Chevella) which would become the primary source of water for the north Telangana districts including Medak, Nizamabad.
The nearest water reservoir for Pragathi Dharmaram will be Mallana Sagar Reservoir with the capacity of 50 TMCs. This will be 50 times bigger to Hussen Sagar and as equal to in capacity of Nizamsagar, the oldest and biggest water of Telangana in 60 years.
In his presentation, it is clearly visible that there is a proposed canal going very near to Pragathi Dharmaram and Ramayampet. Not sure if it is already planned, but it would very easy to pump this water to our village cheruvu and other small tanks, this will enable a 365 days canal water source for the Pragathi Dharmaram village.
