Rajahmundry area Churches of Christ :: INDIA Rajahmundry area Churches of Christ are a group of 32 congregations who are following New Testament Christianity in India. Last year by 5th April, 2006 Bro.

We are a small group servants of the Lord ministering at Rajahmundry area in East Godavary. I would like to introduce my self that, I am P.V.Ratnam, Preacher, Church of Christ, Ratnampeta, Rajahmundry. I am grown up from Korukonda Church of Christ including 18 other Preachers who are ministering in the Lord’s Churches around Rajahmundry and Korukonda areas, following the New Testament Christianity

. We are not affiliated with anybody except Jesus. We have no sponsoring congregations in and outside India. Brother K.Cornelius, Preacher, who worked for the Churches of Christ, in Korukonda are for the last 46 years, has guided us to the New Testament Christianity. Cornelius has passed away (Died), by leaving the responsibilities of the Lord’s ministry in this area. We are 19 Young Preachers, who trained from IBS and got Diplomas in Theological Education and now serving in 34 congregations in Rajahmundry area. It is grate privilege to us. We are being established a dedicated work in His ministry.

I love to post some facts of India for provocating towards the need of Gospel.

1. India is second largest populated country in the world with a population of 1.33 Billions.

2. Christianity was established in Indian even before some of the European nations became Christianity.

3. Christianity is India's third largest religion, with approximately 24 million followers.

3. But the percentage of the Christians constitutes only 2.3 percent.

4. However, the Census does not take into consideration those who do not explicitly identify themselves as Christians due to the government policies.

5. More than 50% Indian population never heard the name of Jesus.

6. There are 330 million Hindu Gods and Godesses.

7. 70% of Indian population lives in 5,97,608 villages.

8. India has peculiar caste system. There are about 3,000 castes and over 25,000 subcastes in India.

9. India has 22 official languages, 122 major languages and 1599 other languages.

The people of India are in great need of Gospel and the Love of God. We are excited to invite you to proclaim the Gospel of Christ in India.

We have conducted a Health camp at an Interior Hill Tribe Village named Pullangi on 11th June 2013 which is 145 Kms from Rajahmundry. It is very Interior Hill Tribes area where the Gospel of Christ is new to them. They are very poor and away from this modern civilization. We have already conducted 4 such camps in this area. We bring a team of Doctors to conduct Free Health check up Camp, and a Free Eye Camp. We have requested the doctors to work on free of remuneration and bring some free medicine. We are collecting some medicines also from the local civilian elders and authorities. We have to spend money for Transportation, Food and other miscellaneous needs. The Eye Camp and General Health checkup camp was success. The tribe people utilized this camp very much. We have provided them free medicine. We have also distributed Bibles and hymn books. Suja, Mounish and PV along with the team of Doctors and technicians attended the Camp.
