“Karishye Vachanam Tava”

With these words from the Gita, Shri Nimesh Pandya opened the Sri Sathya Sai Global Bal Vikas Gurus’ Conference at Prasanthi Nilayam — calling it a landmark moment in the history of mankind, unfolding in Bhagawan’s Centenary year, from the very abode where He chose to take His Avatar.
His first act was not to look forward, but to look back — to the Bal Vikas Gurus of the yore. The grand ladies and men who gave their lives to one word of Bhagawan: “You are my guru, you are my instrument, and these children are your children.”

“Not all of them were very qualified educationists,” he reminded the delegates. “The biggest qualification that each one of them had was a sincere love for children.”

A conference begins where the movement began — in love. 🙏

The inaugural day of the Sri Sathya Sai Global Bal Vikas Gurus' Conference 2026 flowed into the evening with a recap of the day's proceedings — reaffirming the foundational ideals of the Bal Vikas movement and Bhagawan's vision of nurturing children through the awakening of their innate divinity — followed by a devotional musical offering in the Divine Presence.

Building upon the theme of the Triple Partnership — Parent, Guru and Child, Mr Krishnamurthy Naidoo, Zone 3 Education Coordinator, drew upon Bhagawan's profound analogy of the bicycle: parents provide the strength and support, the Guru offers direction, and the child moves steadily forward towards spiritual excellence. The success of Bal Vikas, he said, lies in the harmonious partnership between the home and the classroom — sustained by regular value-based education and, above all, the Guru's own exemplary life.

Interwoven with these reflections was a soul-stirring presentation by Bal Vikas alumni — devotional songs in multiple Indian languages celebrating the glory of the Guru. Aptly titled 'Guru & Sadguru', the programme wove together music, narration and spiritual insight to draw a beautiful distinction:

🪔 The Guru imparts the knowledge for righteous living.
🪔 The Sadguru leads the seeker to the eternal Truth.

The offering unfolded two complementary dimensions of the spiritual journey — the devotional songs carrying the knowledge dimension, unfolding the philosophy and teachings of the Sadguru, and the Sai bhajans embodying the practice dimension, drawing every heart into Namasmarana.

Knowledge and practice — inseparable companions on the path to God-realisation. 🌸

Nearly 3,000 Bal Vikas Gurus, coordinators and educationists from sixteen countries gathered in the sacred precincts of Prasanthi Nilayam this morning as the Global Bal Vikas Gurus' Conference commenced — held in the blessed afterglow of Guru Poornima.

The theme: "Upholding Truth, Nurturing Hearts, Blossoming Excellence" — a timely reminder that the true purpose of education is the blossoming of noble character.

The morning opened with Vedic chanting by Bal Vikas Gurus, a humble procession of office bearers from SSSSO and SSSGC, and a beautifully choreographed theme song tracing the divine vision behind Bal Vikas — Bhagawan's sacred gift to transform human life into divine life through universal human values. This was followed by the ceremonial lighting of lamps by revered elders.

The session also witnessed three releases:
✨ The Centenary edition of the Sri Sathya Sai Bal Vikas Magazine — The Triple Divine Bond of Bal Vikas
✨ The Guru Poornima special issue
✨ A comprehensive handbook for Group 1 Bal Vikas Gurus

In his welcome address, Mr Nimish Pandya described Bal Vikas as one of Bhagawan's greatest gifts to the world, calling for a unified global understanding of its philosophy. The movement, he said, must never dilute its core principles to suit changing trends — for while technology has its place, it can never replace the priceless heart-to-heart bond between a Guru and a child.

Ms Sai Priya Vijayraghavan reflected on the sacred responsibility entrusted to every Guru: the greatest qualification is not academic accomplishment, but unconditional love for children, unwavering faith in Bhagawan, and sincere personal sadhana. Rather than attempting to reform children, she urged, let every Guru constantly refine themselves — becoming worthy instruments in Bhagawan's mission.

The sacred tradition of offering selfless medical service during the holy season of Guru Poornima commenced at Prasanthi Nilayam on Sunday morning with the inauguration of the Global Medical Camp by Mr RJ Rathnakar, Managing Trustee of the Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust. The function was held in the presence of office-bearers of the Sri Sathya Sai Global Council, senior doctors, and distinguished guests, invoking Bhagawan's blessings on this noble offering of love in action.

Organised as a heartfelt offering at the Lotus Feet of Swami, the five-day medical camp, from July 26 to 30, brings together over 70 doctors, 40 paramedical professionals, 80 non-medical volunteers, allied health professionals, and sevadals from India and overseas. Functioning from the North-1 Building within the Ashram, the camp offers consultations and treatment across a wide range of specialities, including ENT, Cardiology, General Medicine, Ophthalmology, Gynaecology, Dentistry, Psychiatry, Paediatrics, and Podiatry. Laboratory investigations, including diabetes screening, are also being provided, while spectacles and walking sticks will be distributed free of cost to deserving beneficiaries.

More than a medical outreach, the camp stands as a living expression of Bhagawan's ideal of "Love All, Serve All." Doctors and volunteers from different parts of the world have converged at Prasanthi Nilayam with a single purpose—to serve in His name without expectation of reward.

The devotees from the USA, who are in Prasanthi Nilayam for a week-long pilgrimage to bask in the divine grace and offer their collective gratitude to Bhagawan, presented a heartfelt devotional music program this evening titled 'Sai Prema Yatra – Journey of Selfless Love'.

Addressing the gathering, Mr Balu Karanam, National Council President, reflected on the privilege of participating in five pilgrimages over the past five years and expressed profound gratitude for the opportunity to return to Prasanthi year after year. He also highlighted a wide range of initiatives undertaken across the Education, Service, Young Adults, and Devotional Wings.

The program concluded with vibrant devotional musical by the Young Adults and Sri Sathya Sai Educare (SSSE) children, who presented songs and prayers in multiple languages, celebrating the universal message of selfless love and global unity. Their radiant expressions of gratitude and devotion reflected the joy of offering their hearts at Bhagawan's divine sannidhi.

A new Sai Centre was inaugurated in the divine presence by the Managing Trustee of Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust, Mr RJ Rathnakar, amidst the office bearers of Sri Sathya Sai Global Council (SSSGC) Zone 1.

Grama Seva by the Pilgrims from the USA, Zone - 1, SSSGC | July 21, 2026

On Tuesday, 21 July 2026, USA devotees from Zone 1 of the SSSGC, currently on pilgrimage to Prasanthi Nilayam, performed Grama Seva at Chennepetta Village (Chennekothapalli Mandal), about 40 km from Puttaparthi, as an offering of gratitude to Bhagawan and a rededication to His ideal of “Love All, Serve All.”

Joined by Sri Sathya Sai Central Trust Managing Trustee Mr RJ Rathnakar and USA office-bearers, the pilgrims received a traditional village welcome and distributed Amrutha Kalashas (grocery provisions) and children’s stationery kits to all 150 families in the village.

In his address, Mr Rathnakar shared Bhagawan’s message “Bhajana unte vibhajana undadu” (where there is bhajan, there is no division), and highlighted key initiatives: 45 Bhajan Mandalis established across all 45 villages of the Mandal, the Ragi Java programme providing a millet health drink to over 3.2 million government school children in Andhra Pradesh, and the Trust’s Human Values education partnership with the AP Government, under which 4,000+ teachers have been trained.

Around 250 devotees from South Africa belonging to Zone 9 of the Sri Sathya Sai Global Council, including Young Adults and Sri Sathya Sai Educare (SSSE) children, are undertaking a sacred pilgrimage to Prasanthi Nilayam during the auspicious Centennial Year, offering their love and gratitude at the Lotus Feet of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba.

The contingent has undertaken this spiritual sojourn as an opportunity for inner transformation, collective worship, and renewed dedication to His universal message of Love All, Serve All. As part of the two-day pilgrimage, devotees have organised a series of cultural and devotional offerings in Sai Kulwant Hall. The opening presentation on Thursday evening was a thought-provoking drama titled ‘Why Fear When I Am Here’, staged by the Young Adults of South Africa.
The presentation explored the challenges confronting modern youth and the timeless relevance of Bhagawan’s assurance that the Divine is ever-present within.

Easter is a traditional Christian holiday symbolizing the victory of life and renewal. The Easter eve is a special time. These are the days when Christians are cleaning up not only homes, but also the souls: they purify their thoughts, forgive offenses, and strive to do good things.

Members of the Sai Center of the Sri Sathya Sai Global Council, musicians of the Prema Nilayam group from Saratov play music of the spiritual path. In April, they dedicated the pre-Easter bright day to Narayan Seva. Serving with an open heart, they helped and pleased those who needed it most.
