Shree Krishna Charitable Foundation Shree Krishna Temple situated at Nigdi, Pune is one of the most famous temples in Pune city.

The temple is located at Nigdi and is next to the Mumbai-Pune Highway. Its built with a Southern architectural touch and is considered to be the glory of Pune. In 1985 a few devotees of Lord Krishna formed the SHREE KRISHNA BHAJANA SANGHAM . This group strived hard to collect small funds by performing Bhajans in various houses. This activity developed further by performing special functions on imp

ortant days at Vittal Mandir at Duttawadi. In 1985 the Bhajana Sangam converged themselves into a legal entity by forming Shree Krishna Charitable Foundation and registered the body under Maharashtra Society Act. On the sacred Janmashtami day on 12th September,1987 , an idol of Lord Krishna was installed amidst Vedic chantings and Nama sankeertans by hundreds of devotees. Gradually, with the wholehearted support and unstinted co-operation from devotees, coupled with relentless efforts of the Trustees and Members this was converted into a full-fledged Temple on 2nd April 1993 as per the traditional rites of Ta**ra Sastras at an auspicious time.
